AUSTRALIAN INVESTMENT BANKER IN THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE’S EPSTEIN FILES
Wall Street investment banker and Trump donor, Brisbane’s Luke Thorburn, included in the “Epstein Files” release.
The 31-page U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and U.S. Department of State document on the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) “Epstein Files” website assesses Thorburn as a U.S. “Security Intelligence Concern” and describes his hands-on research processes in the Epstein case(s). In intelligence parlance, a Security Intelligence Concern typically refers to a vulnerability, threat, or risk identified by security teams—or intelligence agencies—that threatens the safety of data, infrastructure, or personnel. On a governmental level, these are high-profile concerns—espionage, terrorism, disinformation and subversion—investigated by defense or law enforcement agencies to protect a nation’s sovereignty.
This follows a separate and prior assessment puzzlingly depicting Thorburn as a “Threat to U.S. National Security” following his 2016 termination from Manhattan’s prestigious Goldman Sachs, the leading bulge bracket investment bank.
The DOJ website document on Thorburn is mostly redacted, showing “FOUO” (For Official Use Only) and “SBU” (Sensitive But Unclassified), with such stonewall-like markings designed to prevent its release to the public and media under any future U.S. Freedom of Information Act (“FOIA”) requests.
That said, ANR has been able to obtain an unredacted copy of the “Epstein Files” document which describes a brutal and physical “knocked-out, feared dead” assault by Australian national Luke Thorburn on a U.S. Intelligence Community operative and ex-Marine referred to within the document as “U.S. (Embassy) Employee #1.”
The unredacted version hints at the existence of a U.S. Intelligence Community file on Thorburn that pre-dated the violent altercation. The unredacted DOJ file also references Thorburn’s ties to “The Moonies,” who were his client in Paraguay, and shadowy U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) figure in Paraguay, Mark Francis Shakespeare—Mark is the son of Bush crony, Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (DCI) confidant, and former The Heritage Foundation Chairman, Frank Shakespeare.
For his part, Thorburn says the incident that landed him in the DOJ’s “Epstein Files” was in self-defense, which he says CCTV tapes unequivocally prove, and also followed a physical assault by the same U.S. government employee on the American investigative journalist that Thorburn was managing, and the theft of that journalists’ equipment which was placed into a U.S. Embassy diplomatically placed SUV driven by “U.S. (Embassy) Employee #1.”
Known to ANR for half a decade, Thorburn claims to have evidence of the Australian government’s involvement and complicity in what happened, and that of a senior Australian government cyber-specialist breaching his personal devices.
Thorburn tells ANR publisher Jamie McIntyre that he is proud of his boots-on-the-ground investigative work across many countries and a microcosm of same’s inclusion in the DOJ’s “Epstein Files,” and that “…as a Queenslander growing it, it was instilled in me that the strong(er) should always help the weak(er) wherever possible. Humbly speaking, turning a blind-eye to institutional atrocities hidden in plain sight within our communities to kick back, drink beer, and watch the footy with the ‘someone else will handle it’ chimp-squeak is not my style. As conservative men of all creeds, sometimes we need to rip-in when our politicians and institutions fail us.”
Why is the U.S. Government profiling and assaulting Australian journalists and counter-trafficking researchers?
Beginning 2019, Thorburn has been known as the architect of much of the U.S. ‘conservative’ media landscape’s coverage (and exposure of their coordinated cover-up at the highest levels) of Jeffrey Epstein’s little-known brother Mark Epstein, and Mark’s “Humpty Dumpty Institute” (HDI) so-called Foreign Affairs and U.S. National Security-focused “NGO;” including Epstein’s HDI partnerships with various controversial third-world orphanages, U.S. Congress and U.S. State Department, Volodymyr Zelensky, the Israeli government’s preferred arms dealer and crafty logistician Walter Arbib, and crooked Transnistrian orphanage operators. Hard and tangible datapoints of interest to a global working public; ones that all media either refuse to explore, or obfuscate in the case of Washington D.C.’s Breitbart News.
Rather ironically and also in the course of his investigative work, Thorburn was indicated in absentia and remains wanted for arrest in Paraguay for allegedly “extorting and intimidating” one Don Estanislao Franco de Oliveira; Oliveira, a 33-Degree Mason, co-head of the China-Paraguay Chamber of Commerce, and known locally as the “Al Capone of Paraguay,” is a mafioso capo accused of murdering judges, prosecutors and journalists.
Thorburn has also faced recent death threats from Trump-GOP and The Heritage Foundation mega-financier and billionaire, the U.S. military-intelligence community adjacent Mr. Reverge Anselmo.
Anselmo, claiming over email to know of Thorburn’s very specific whereabouts and movements, asserted that there are “six agencies trying to find and kill this guy, Luke Thorburn”…and that Luke has “at best, nine months to live.” Copied into this quarrelsome and disturbing email from the Forbes-listed Anselmo progeny are the CIA’s Mark Francis Shakespeare and Brigadier General Terry Paul, the latter of whom maniacally encourages Anselmo to get on with the job. A notorious Fort Bragg-based “journalist” also chimed in, in writing to Thorburn “This is the military. You’ve been court martialed.”
Luke claims to ANR to be an ordinary private citizen and businessman who, like most of us, just so happens to hold a deep disdain for corrupt institutions and individuals–and their fork-tongued propagandist shields–and with the means and good intentions to try and sensibly do something about it. Much of his hands-on counter-trafficking research was financed through income Thorburn derived as a long-standing advisor and institutional sales lead for Mayfair-based Astarte Capital Partners and its USD $500mm+ Paraguayan portfolio company SilviPar, as well as London’s Yoo Capital (Camden Film Quarter).
