Pop icon Cyndi Lauper is becoming an action figure alongside professional wrestling legends “Rowdy” Roddy Piper and Captain Lou Albano.
A 3-pack of Lauper, Piper and Albano figures is among this year’s offerings from Mattel Creations at the 2026 San Diego Comic Con, which is scheduled to take place from Thursday to Sunday, July 23-26, at the San Diego Convention Center. A preview night at SDCC will take place the evening of Wednesday, July 22.
Established in 1970, the SDCC has grown to become one of the biggest pop culture conventions around the globe, where stars from the world of comics, film, television, animation, gaming and more come to preview their upcoming projects.
The SDCC is also a huge destination for toymakers like Mattel to preview upcoming products and sell exclusives to convention attendees. One of Mattel Creations’ SDCC 2026 offerings introduces “Girls Just Want to Have Fun” and “Time After Time” singer Lauper to the line of the company’s WWE action figure line.
The figure set — which is called the WWE Elite 3-Pack – Cyndi Lauper, Roddy Piper and Captain Lou Albano — will be available at the SDCC for $80 at the Mattel Creations booth. The three, 6.5-inch scale figures come housed in a window box fashioned to look like a vintage television set from the 1980s.
For fans who can’t attend the convention, Mattel Creations is offering the item for pre-order on its retail site. Quanties of the WWE Elite 3-Pack featuring Lauper, Piper and Albano will be limited at both the site and SDCC.

The Cyndi Lauper, Roddy Piper and Lou Albano Set Commemorates Rock ‘N’ Wrestling Era In The 1980s
The WWE Elite 3-Pack – Cyndi Lauper, Roddy Piper and Captain Lou Albano set, according to Mattel, honors the Rock ‘N’ Wrestling Era in the WWE in the 1980s, which helped infuse the sport into the cultural mainstream.
The set is inspired by Lauper’s appearance in Piper’s Pit in June 1984. According to Mattel Creations, “The collector set celebrates the intersection of music, fashion, entertainment, and wrestling fandom through one of WWE’s most memorable celebrity crossover moments. Packed with bold ‘80s nostalgia and entertainment history, the release pays tribute to the era that blurred the lines between MTV, music and professional wrestling — with Cyndi at the center of it all.”

Becoming a WWE action figure is latest honor for the legendary glam singer, whose hits also include “She Bop,” “All Through the Night” “Change of Heart” and “The Goonies R’ Good Enough” (from the official soundtrack of the 1985 classic adventure comedy). In November, Cyndi Lauper, 72, was part of the 2025 class of music greats inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Piper died on July 31, 2015, at age 61, while Albano died on Oct. 14, 2009, at age 76.
Lauper’s WWE doesn’t mark the first time that Mattel immortalized Lauper in plastic. In 2009, Mattel released a Lauper Barbie doll as part of the company’s Ladies of the ‘80s line that also included Blondie singer Debbie Harry and “I Love Rock and Roll” singer Joan Jett.
