Billie Eilish – Hit Me Hard And Soft: The Tour, directed by James Cameron and Eilish, is new on digital streaming this week, a month after it wrapped up its theatrical run.
The 3D concert film opened in theaters on May 8. It chronicles the Grammy- and Oscar-winning singer-songwriter on stage and behind the scenes during her Hit Me Hard and Soft Tour in Manchester, England, in 2025 and features Cameron, as well as Eilish’s brother and song collaborator, Finneas O’Connell.
Billie Eilish – Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour is the singer’s third concert movie, following 2021’s Happier Than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles and 2023’s Billie Eilish: Live at the O2.
Cameron and Eilish’s concert film opened in 2,613 North American theaters and earned $7 million in its debut weekend May 8-10. The film earned an additional $2.9 million during its domestic box office run, to boost the final North American tally to $9.9 million. Combined with the film’s international ticket sales of $16.8 million, Billie Eilish – Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour had a worldwide box office tally of $26.7 million.
The film, however, had a $20 million production budget before marketing costs, according to Variety.
‘Billie Eilish: Hit Me Hard And Soft – The Tour’ Is New On PVOD On Tuesday
As confirmed by a new listing on Prime Video, Billie Eilish – Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour will make its home entertainment debut on digital streaming via premium video on demand on Tuesday, June 23.
The film is listed for digital purchase for $24.99 and will also be available on such platforms as Apple TV, Fandango at Home and YouTube Movies & TV. Since digital rentals are typically $5 less than purchase prices, viewers should be able to rent Billie Eilish – Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour on PVOD for a 48-hour period for $19.99.
Billie Eilish – Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour upon its release earned an 88% “fresh” critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes’ Tomatometer based on 38 reviews. Since then, the film’s RT critics’ score has risen to a 91% “fresh” based on 80 reviews. In addition, the film has earned a 97% “fresh” Popcornmeter score based on 1,000-plus verified user ratings.
