Sabrina Carpenter has only been nominated for Grammys at two ceremonies – at least so far. She first appeared at the show in 2025 and returned at the most recent event, which was held only a few months ago. Each time she has found herself in the running for prizes, the singer-songwriter has racked up multiple nods and stood out as one of the most successful acts of the year.
In both instances, Carpenter competed for half a dozen honors. In only two years, the superstar has become a 12-time Grammy nominee – and a two-time winner.
Carpenter may very well return to music’s biggest night with more nods going into the 2027 ceremony, though she does not have as much music eligible this time around as she has in the past. There is no new full-length for her to push, but multiple singles — including several high-profile collaborations — may bring her to a category she has never seen before.
Sabrina Carpenter May Earn Her First Pop Collaboration Nod

Carpenter may be on her way to landing her first nomination in the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance field. The category honors pop performances by two or more soloists working together, as well as groups, duos and similar acts.
Carpenter has never been included in the vertical before, but throughout the current eligibility period, she matched up with two of the biggest stars in the world. Both collaborations became Billboard Hot 100 hits, and the names involved may prove difficult for Grammy voters to ignore.
Sabrina Carpenter and Taylor Swift Could Compete Together
Carpenter teamed up with Taylor Swift for “The Life of a Showgirl,” which shares its name with the album on which it is featured. The tune was never pushed as a single, but because it appeared on one of the biggest projects of 2025, it became a huge hit anyway. “The Life of a Showgirl” peaked at No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100, earning both singers another top 10 on the busiest ranking of the most popular songs in the United States.
Pairing Carpenter and Swift may prove to be enough to earn the track attention from Recording Academy members – especially considering the fact that Swift will likely rank among the most-nominated artists at the 2027 ceremony. The Life of a Showgirl could compete for some of the top prizes, and voters considering the full-length may also remember its Carpenter collaboration when looking through the pop fields.
Sabrina Carpenter and Madonna May Also Earn a Nod
Carpenter more recently paired with Madonna to help the pop icon return to the Billboard Hot 100. The two shared “Bring Your Love,” a single from Madonna’s Confessions II, which arrived in July. “Bring Your Love” did not perform nearly as well as “The Life of a Showgirl,” as it topped out at No. 74 on the main songs ranking in America and did not hold on for long.
Madonna, like Swift, may mount a significant push at the Grammys, as she is enjoying an excellent career moment and Confessions II has been hailed as some of her best work in years. The Queen of Pop will likely focus much of her attention on the dance and electronic categories, where the set and several of its singles may fit perfectly.
“Bring Your Love,” though, feels more like a straightforward pop tune, and it is the most high-profile collaboration Madonna could submit among several from the collection. That may make Best Pop Duo/Group Performance its most logical destination.
Sabrina Carpenter Could Compete Against Herself
Carpenter may have an unusual problem when it comes to the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category – she could end up competing against herself. Both “The Life of a Showgirl” with Swift and “Bring Your Love” with Madonna could theoretically earn nominations. If they do, Carpenter would find herself the rare act with two chances to win her first trophy in the arena in the same year.
That boon could work in her favor, or voters could split their support between the two high-profile collaborations, making it more difficult for either to come out on top. It is also possible that those who pick who walks away with a Grammy may simply choose one of the two when nominations are decided.
