Olivia Rodrigo became an international musical superstar the moment she released her debut solo single “Drivers License,” which was not attached to any other media project she was working on (she first found a global audience that loved her musical talents on the Disney+ show High School Musical: The Musical: The Series).
The tune served as the lead single from her debut album Sour, which quickly conquered rosters all around the planet, including in the United States. Rodrigo did not make fans wait long before they got to hear from her again, as Sour’s follow-up Guts arrived a little more than two years later.
Both projects have lived on a handful of Billboard rankings ever since they launched, and they remain top performers to this day – even as the singer-songwriter has moved on to promoting her third and latest full-length You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love. As that album continues to perform well and lives in lofty positions on every Billboard roster where it appears, Guts celebrates a chart milestone Rodrigo has only experienced once before.
Guts Reaches Three Years on the Billboard 200
As of this period, Guts has lived on the Billboard 200 for 156 weeks. Rodrigo’s sophomore full-length has ranked as one of the 200 most-consumed albums and EPs in the U.S., on a roster that blends both pure purchases and streaming activity, for exactly three years. This time around, Guts improves by one slot and settles at No. 58.
Guts Is Olivia Rodrigo’s Second Three-Year-Charter
Guts is Rodrigo’s second title to make it to three years on the Billboard 200, and her only other project to do so sits far ahead. Sour – which outperforms its successor this week and lands at No. 43 – is up to 276 turns somewhere on the register.
Guts Celebrates the Same Milestone on Another Two Charts
Sour did not place on either the Top Rock & Alternative Albums or Top Alternative Albums charts, as Billboard classified the project as more of a pop effort. Guts, meanwhile, brought Rodrigo to the summit on both genre-focused rankings for the first time when it debuted.
Guts celebrates the same three-year milestone on those related tallies as it does on the Billboard 200 this week, reaching 156 frames on the two simultaneously. That’s a first for Rodrigo on the rock- and alternative-focused lists.
She has collected three winners on each ranking. This frame, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love is up to 12 weeks and remains at No. 1. Live from Glastonbury (A BBC Recording) debuted inside the top 10 in December 2025 and then vanished after a single frame.
Olivia Rodrigo’s Sour Returns to the Top 40
While Guts lives on the rock and alternative rosters and Sour does not, Rodrigo’s first full-length appears on a tally where its successor is absent. Sour returns to the top 40 on the Top Streaming Albums chart this week, leaping eight spaces from No. 46 to No. 38.
