Zara Larsson has shared multiple versions of her album Midnight Sun, which she originally dropped in September of last year. The Swedish pop singer promoted her fifth album with multiple singles, including hits like “Pretty Ugly,” the title tune and “Crush.” Thanks to the popularity of those tracks, as well as “Stateside,” her collaboration with PinkPantheress, Larsson was inspired to revamp the full-length, turning it into something of a remix album and collaborations project.

Midnight Sun: Girls Trip dropped in May and only recently became available on vinyl for the first time. Thanks to its issuing on the once-nearly-extinct format, Midnight Sun returns to multiple Billboard charts and helps the Grammy-nominated artist reach one tally for the first time.

Midnight Sun Reaches a New Sales Peak

Thanks to an uptick in purchases – both Midnight Sun and Midnight Sun: Girls Trip are grouped together for charting purposes – the project is a true bestseller again. Midnight Sun reenters Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart at No. 12. This is only the second time it’s appeared on the ranking, and Midnight Sun climbs to a new high point as it returns.

Luminate reports that the full-length, combining the two versions, sold 8,000 copies. That figure includes vinyl sales as well as digital downloads and CDs.

“Midnight Sun” Reaches New Highs on Four Charts

“Midnight Sun,” the song, rises to a new high on four Billboard charts this week, seemingly buoyed by both general promotion and the release of the vinyl edition of the album of the same name. The tune pushes to No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming Larsson’s highest-peaking solo cut.

The single also establishes new peaks on the Adult Pop Airplay and Adult Contemporary charts, two of the three pop radio rankings, rising to Nos. 7 and 24, respectively. “Midnight Sun” simultaneously jumps from No. 45 to No. 33 on the Streaming Songs roster, also marking a new high for the catchy pop tune.
