Jisoo is the only one of the four singers who make up the South Korean girl group Blackpink who has yet to release a full-length album on her own, but that might not be the case for long. Rosé was the first of the bunch, and her semi-self-titled Rosie arrived in December 2024. Only about two months later, Lisa followed with the highly-anticipated Alter Ego. Then a week later, Jennie’s Ruby dropped.
Jisoo is working her way toward a full-length, and she recently delivered “Click,” which is set to be the first single from the not-yet-announced album. That solo cut gets off to a relatively quiet start on the Billboard charts this week, bringing Jisoo back to one tally in a surprisingly low position and to another roster for the first time in her solo career.
Jisoo Debuts on the Hot Dance/Pop Songs Chart
Jisoo hits Billboard’s Hot Dance/Pop Songs chart for the first time on her own as “Click” arrives. The track barely makes it onto the list of the most-consumed tunes that blend both electronic dance elements and pop sensibilities, as it launches at No. 15 – last place on the short rundown.
Jisoo Is the Third Blackpink Member to Reach the Chart
Jisoo is the third member of Blackpink to score a Hot Dance/Pop Songs chart win. Lisa has racked up three solo smashes, including almost dominating the list alongside Doja Cat and Raye. The three women sent “Born Again” to No. 2 and kept the cut on the ranking for nearly two months. Lisa’s own “Moonlit Floor (Kiss Me)” and “Chill” peaked at Nos. 14 and 15, respectively.
Jennie, alongside rapper Doechii, also landed a top 10 win with “ExtraL” last spring. Blackpink also nearly conquered the rundown earlier this year, as the girl group’s high-octane “Jump” stalled at No. 2 a few months back.
Jisoo Scores the Lowest of This Week’s Three Debuts
A trio of tracks debut on the 15-space Hot Dance/Pop Songs chart, and Jisoo claims the lowest-peaking of the bunch. Miley – who now goes by that one name instead of Miley Cyrus – launches “Bass Persuades,” the title track and first single from her newly-released album, at No. 2. Miley misses out on her inaugural leader on her first visit to the multi-genre roster as Zara Larsson’s “Midnight Sun” rules again.
Pop newcomer Adela debuts the track “Boys” at No. 8. It comes in only two spaces above where her own “KGB” reenters, becoming a top 10 hit for the first time as it breaks back in at No. 10.
“Click” Also Hits the Billboard Global Excl. U.S.
“Click” is also a win on only one of Billboard’s two worldwide rosters – a surprising showing for a musician as popular as Jisoo. The single launches at No. 96 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S., which ranks the most popular tracks throughout the world based on streaming and sales activity while removing all consumption from the United States. The cut completely misses the similar Billboard Global 200.
“Click” Marks a New Low for Jisoo
Jisoo scores her fifth solo smash on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S., but “Click” brings her to a new low on the tally. It is now her worst performer thus far, grabbing that distinction from “All Eyes on Me,” which spent one frame at No. 42 in April 2023.
