After several weeks off following the FedEx Cup Playoffs culminated at East Lake with the Tour Championship, the PGA Tour returns for their fall slate of tournaments. And what a better way to start than with a brand new tournament in Asheville, North Carolina.
The Biltmore Championship is a new tournament on the PGA Tour calendar, and while it doesn’t feature the game’s biggest names, it absolutely is a tournament many players are looking forward to for a variety of reasons.
For some it is a tune-up for the upcoming Presidents Cup, others are trying to gain as many FedEx Cup points for the year, and some are trying to retain their PGA Tour card.

When it comes to picks for this event, I’d start with my favorite and long shot picks. The favorite pick is the winner pick I like the most. For the long shot winner, that is a golfer who has over +2000 odds to win. It is a long shot pick for a reason, and finding those can be like finding a needle in a haystack.

- Jacob Bridgeman (+360)
I’m doubling down on Conners, and the +520 was too much to pass up when it came to odds. Conners hasn’t had the best season to-date, but I’m sure his game is trending in the right direction before representing the International team next week.
Bridgeman, a winner on the PGA Tour in 2026, will be on the United States team next week and I think he too will be gearing up for the big event next week. At +360 it isn’t a bad play.
Top 10 Picks For The Biltmore Championship 2026
- Jackson Koivun (+140)
- J.T. Poston (+270)
I was stunned to see Koivun getting plus odds for just a Top 10 play, but he certainly would be a smart play in this category. Can he find a way to land in the Top 10 if he doesn’t win? We’re hoping he can.
Poston won on tour this year, and while he isn’t on the Presidents Cup team, will certainly be a player who could find his way near the top of the leaderboard when all is said and done. At +270 Poston isn’t a bad pick, in my opinion.
Top 20 Value Picks For The Biltmore Championship 2026
- Lucas Glover (+385)
- Neal Shipley (+220)
I’m going with two “gut picks” for my Top 20 plays. I like Glover’s experience playing a new course, and maybe at +385 for a Top 20 play we can catch lightning in a bottle.
Neal Shipley, a Pittsburgh native, should be accustomed to the style of course he’s about to play in North Carolina. I’ll take Shipley for the fact I think he will eventually start to score better on tour.
