- Roman Reigns returned to WWE Raw to confront CM Punk. Punk ended the exchange by taking a shot at Reigns’ deceased father.
- Seth Rollins appeared on Raw and put Paul Heyman in the hospital.
- Penta beat Dominik Mysterio to win the WWE Intercontinental Championship after Mysterio was cursed by Danhausen.
WWE Raw advertised the return of Roman Reigns and fallout from the Elimination Chamber. Raw will also feature follow-up from Becky Lynch’s loss to AJ Lee Saturday night, which was preceded by a ref bump from Jessika Carr. Carr—a trained wrestler herself—and Lynch have been in conflict for several months. A match between the two on the road to WrestleMania feels inevitable. WWE Raw GM Adam Pearce addressed the situation on Twitter and his comments are below.
Raw also advertised a WWE Intercontinental Championship match between Dominik Mysterio and Penta.
The February 16 broadcast of Raw garnered 2.7 million global viewers on Netflix.

Seth Rollins Hospitalizes Paul Heyman
- The Vision was furious about last night’s Elimination Chamber. The Vision threatened to hold up the show, but Adam Pearce interrupted.
- Several hooded figures hit the ring, distracting Austin Theory and Logan Paul. A hooded figure appeared in the entranceway, distracting Paul Heyman. Another hooded figure emerged behind Heyman and revealed himself to be Seth Rollins.
- Rollins hit Heyman in the back with a steel chair, shades of the Shield’s breakup. Rollins then stuck Heyman with a Stomp. Heyman was loaded into an ambulance truck, but the driver was revealed to be LA Knight. Prior to Knight’s reveal, Jimmy Uso jumped the Vision backstage. It is being heavily implied that the Vision attacked Jey Uso on SmackDown, but I submit it was Sami Zayn.
Gunther Def. Dragon Lee
- Dragon Lee ambushed Gunther during his entrance and Gunther spent most of the match playing catchup.
- Lee showed great fire, but after slipping, Gunther pounced and mauled the former tag team champion.
- Gunther pounded Lee with one power bomb after another. Now firmly in control, Gunther pinned Dragon Lee, but then picked him up at the count of two. Gunther tossed Lee outside and power bombed him on the announce table. As the referee counted Lee out, the announcers begged the ref to count faster.
- Lee surprisingly battled back on the outside. Lee hit a Code Red on the mat and almost won via countout. Gunther barely slithered in the ring, where he caught Lee in a sleeper hold after removing his mask. Lee was forced to tap out.
Gunther vs. Dragon Lee Match Grade: B+
AJ Lee Issues An Open Challenge
- Backstage, AJ Lee walked in on Kairi Sane after she had been yelled at by Asuka. Kairi ignored AJ and walked off when Asuka called “Kairi!”
- AJ Lee soaked in the “you deserve it!” chants and thanked the fans for believing in her. She said there were people who wished they would forget about her, which—at the very least—sounded like a shot at Vince McMahon.
- Lee said she was a fighting champion and issued an open challenge. It seemed like the challenge was for tonight, but her music played as she skipped off.
OG El Grande Americano Vs. Rayo
- The OG El Grande Americano started out like a house afire until Bravo and the imposter El Grande got involved. Cole let it be known that the outside interference only continued during commercial break.
- OG Americano got back into the match with a belly-to-belly suplex from the second rope. The original looked to unmask El Rayo, but El Bravo once again got involved. The Evil El Grande interfered before a Rayo flying headbutt.
- Rayo tried to unmask OG Americano to no avail. OG answered with a chaotic suplex for the win.

Rusev Calls Out Oba Femi
- Rusev called out Oba Femi, who answered the challenge in street clothes. The two immediately began brawling. Rusev caught Oba with two kicks, rocking Oba. Femi shook it off and clotheslined Rusev out of the ring.
- Oba and Rusev screamed at one another as Rusev retreated to the back.
- Backstage, Raquel Rodriguez, Iyo Sky and Bayley expressed their desire to challenge AJ Lee for the women’s IC Title.
Jimmy Uso Def. Austin Theory By DQ
- Jimmy Uso and Austin Theory brawled with Jimmy getting the better of Theory. Jimmy set Austin up for a splash through the table, but Logan Paul hit the ring and forced the disqualification. Jey Uso made the save and attacked the Vision with crutches. The Usos ran the Vision off.
- Backstage, Danhausen (who got a pop) had a list of demands for Adam Pearce including a Triple H point and a Hall of Fame induction this year. Danhausen then crossed paths with the Judgment Day. Danhausen cursed them and then disappeared.
- Rhea Ripley appeared onstage with Iyo Sky. Rhea thanked Iyo Sky for her support. Iyo told Rhea to go win gold at WrestleMania, and Rhea warned Jade Cargill that she’d be on SmackDown on Friday.

Penta Def. Dominik Mysterio
- Penta dove to the outside on Dominik Mysterio before Dom took control of the match. Raw came back from commercial with Dominik attempting to remove Penta’s mask. Penta battled out of it and hit a catapult dropkick in the corner.
- Penta mistimed a Mexican Destroyer and followed up with an awkward pin, but fans were still into the match, chanting “this is awesome!”
- The Judgment Day (Finn and JD) sat at ringside and cheered on Finn without getting involved as promised. Penta caught Dom in a Package Piledriver for a very close nearfall. Dom told JD to get the bell hammer, but Balor stopped JD. Penta hit a dive to the outside on bot hFinn and JD. Mysterio tried to follow up with a 619, but he missed and Penta stuck Dom with a Mexican Destroyer for the win. The curse is real.
Penta vs. Dominik Mysterio Match Grade: B+
Roman Reigns And CM Punk Come Face-To-Face
- CM Punk opened by saying he hopes WWE isn’t wasting money on Roman Reigns saying “Acknowledge me” because “brother, it could have been a tweet.” Punk said it’s good he has bags under his eyes because he has to carry Roman’s bulls—t to WrestleMania.
- Reigns called Punk “Phil. (ooh)” Punk said Indianapolis was where he brought the Shied to the dance, but Reigns corrected Punk. “You brought the other two [not Reigns].”
- Punk said he’s in Roman’s head and under his skin. Reigns admitted he hated Phil. “If you didn’t have that title, I’d be indifferent to you. You wouldn’t exist.” Punk said WWE brought Punk back to entertain the 30-40-year-old virgins who live at home with their moms and dads. But they didn’t bring him back to be champion. “We can’t trust you, Phil. You lied to all these people, and unfortunately they believed you.” Reigns called Punk a “punk-ass-bitch” and vowed to put Punk on a John Cena retirement tour and send him down to NXT.
- Punk asked “who’s we? You got some extra Samoan goblins in your pocket?” Punk reminded Reigns that he took his wiseman and Reigns is in the main event of WrestleMania, not because he won the Royal Rumble, but because Punk is the main event. Punk said he was going to bury Reigns. Punk said Reigns won’t be all alone because he’s gonna bury him next to his father. Mic drop.
