After years full of polemics and debates, a mega project at the site of the darkest humanitarian tragedy in Bali has finally officially begun. The construction contract for the Bali Peace Park Museum, located right in front of Ground Zero Kuta, has been signed with a fantastic budget value: reaching IDR 131 billion!

This construction has triggered mixed reactions from the public. On one hand, this project is touted as an educational space for future generations. ​Based on official data on the Badung LPSE (Electronic Procurement Service) website, the project named “Belanja Pembangunan Museum Taman Perdamaian Bali” (Bali Peace Park Museum Construction Procurement) initially had a package ceiling value reaching IDR 145.7 billion, with an Owner’s Estimate (HPS) of IDR 133.79 billion.

After undergoing a tender evaluation process participated in by 42 bidders, this large-scale business qualification project was ultimately won by PT Bianglala Bali with a final contract value of around IDR 131 billion.
