For months now, “Dracula” – originally a single by alternative outfit Tame Impala, but which became a global sensation after Kevin Parker, its sole member, recruited Blackpink singer Jennie to remix the track – has ranked as one of the biggest smashes in America. It is also a historic win for Jennie as a K-pop musician, and she’s broken a lot of ceilings in the past few weeks.
On a number of rankings, “Dracula” continues to hold at No. 1, especially on lists focused on rock and alternative music. This week, the tune debuts on one roster, earning the South Korean talent her first solo appearance.
Jennie’s “Dracula” Appears on 20 Billboard Charts
This week, “Dracula” appears on 20 Billboard charts. It’s incredibly rare for any song, even the most popular in the nation, to take up space on that many rosters, as only a handful of cuts can be classified under enough different genre labels to fit on so many rankings simultaneously.
“Dracula” increases that figure this time around as it lands on the Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart for the first time. The genre-straddling song opens at No. 38, narrowly becoming a top 40 success at yet another radio format in America.
Jennie and Tame Impala Earn Their First Hits
Both Jennie and Tame Impala reach the Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart for the first time in their careers. They claim one of five debuts this period, and “Dracula” is one of the lower-peaking arrivals.
Calvin Harris and Jazzy start “Satisfy” at No. 15, earning the loftiest opening this time around. Prospa and Cloonee launch “Free Your Mind” at No. 31. Pop-rock hitmaker Olivia Rodrigo’s single “Drop Dead” comes in one space ahead of “Dracula.” Kungs and Boys Noize close out the tally at No. 40 with “Get Away.”
Jennie Joins Rosé and Lisa
Jennie is now just the fourth solo female K-pop musician to appear on the Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart. The first to break the mold was her Blackpink friend Rosé, who took “Apt.,” a globally successful collaboration with Bruno Mars, to No. 13. Only months after “Apt.” debuted, Lisa, another one of the four members from the same South Korean girl group, topped out in the lower reaches with “Born Again,” her team up with both Doja Cat and Raye.
Last year, “Golden” from KPop Demon Hunters broke into the top 10, earning all four artists, Huntr/x, Ejae, Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami, their first placement inside that competitive space. Of that bunch, only Ejae can sincerely be counted as a solo female K-pop artist.
Jung Kook Claims Multiple Solo Hits
A number of groups from the K-pop space, including BTS, Fifty Fifty and Blackpink, have landed on the Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart. The latter group, which has now seen three of its four members reach the list, sent “Jump” to No. 31 last fall, collecting its first smash. Jisoo has yet to place on the roster, and she’s the only one from Blackpink to fail to do so.

Only one solo male K-pop star has appeared on the Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart, and he’s managed multiple hits. Jung Kook, one of the seven singers in BTS, has reached the tally with a pair of collaborations. He fronts “Seven” with Latto, which rose to No. 20. The year prior, he joined pop singer-songwriter Charlie Puth on “Left and Right,” which only danced as high as No. 32.
