Earlier this summer, My Chemical Romance experienced a massive bump on the charts in the United Kingdom as the group continued its Long Live The Black Parade tour, which began last summer and is not set to end until this fall. My Chemical Romance played multiple shows throughout the U.K. beginning in June, hitting cities like Liverpool, Glasgow and London before venturing back to America, and that uptick in sales and streams diminished after the band left the nation.

It seems British fans are not done with their love of all things My Chemical Romance, though. This week, multiple projects by the group gain ground or return to various tallies, while one of its most beloved albums surges back to No. 1 on a list the rockers have ruled multiple times in the past.

My Chemical Romance Returns to No. 1

Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge jumps from fifth place to No. 1 on the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart this time around. The project returns to the summit on the genre-specific roster as it approaches 400 weeks on the ranking of the most-consumed rock and metal releases in the country.

Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge First Ruled More Than 20 Years Ago

Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge brought My Chemical Romance to the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart for the first time more than two decades ago, when it debuted on the roster back in September 2004. It took until April 2005 for the set to first reach the No. 1 spot, and it spent two weeks at the summit that year.

The album would not find its way back to the throne until the summer of 2025 – two decades after it first ruled – and now, roughly a year after vacating the peak position again, Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge returns to the penthouse. For much of the time in between its stints in charge, the project has taken up space within the top 10.

My Chemical Romance Has Landed Six No. 1 Albums

Eight My Chemical Romance releases have charted on the Official Rock & Metal Albums ranking throughout the decades, and the group has not added a new title to its presence on the roster in just under a decade. All but two of those projects have reached No. 1.

With four weeks in charge, Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge stands alone as the band’s second-longest-running champion. Only The Black Parade, with 11 turns at the summit, has ruled for longer.

Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys is the only other My Chemical Romance release to spend multiple frames at No. 1, with just two in the spotlight to its credit. The Black Parade Is Dead!, Life on the Murder Scene and May Death Never Stop You have also led the charge for a time, though each managed just a single period in first place.

Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge Returns to Two More Charts

Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge also mounts a comeback this week in the U.K. as it returns to the Official Physical Albums and Official Albums Sales charts at Nos. 83 and 91, respectively. Coincidentally, the album has peaked at No. 5 on both purchase-focused rankings.

My Chemical Romance Fills the Rock Chart’s Top 10

My Chemical Romance fills three spaces on the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart this frame, and all of those bestsellers live inside the top 10. As Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge takes over at No. 1 again, Danger Days vaults from No. 11 to No. 3, breaking back into the uppermost tier. The Black Parade also improves, rising two spaces to No. 7.

Danger Days Rises on Multiple Charts

Danger Days gains ground on all three rankings in the U.K. where it can be found this week. In addition to its climb on the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart, the full-length steps up from No. 77 to No. 54 on the Official Physical Albums tally and from No. 84 to No. 57 on the Official Albums Sales ranking. The Black Parade moves in different directions on those same two purchase-focused lists, inching up one rung on the physical-only roster while slipping slightly on the more all-encompassing sales chart.
