Deftones has been enjoying a run on charts all around the world that has extended throughout several decades, but the past few years have been especially strong for the group. Millions of people, especially in countries like the United Kingdom and the United States, seem to have rediscovered the outfit’s material, and multiple albums by the band regularly chart together.
This frame in the U.K., a trio of releases by Deftones finds space on at least one list. Two of those projects return and become bestsellers again after disappearing from their respective rankings.
Deftones’ Around the Fur Returns to Two Charts
Around the Fur returns to two purchase-focused U.K. rankings at the same time. The album reenters the Official Physical Albums and Official Albums Sales charts at Nos. 78 and 80, respectively.
Deftones’ Private Music Also Returns
Private Music also mounts a comeback this week, though only on one list. The project reenters the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart at No. 38, landing just two spaces above the bottom of the 40-position roster.
Around the Fur has only been missing from the two tallies it returns to for a very short time. The album was last seen on both the Official Albums Sales and Official Physical Albums charts in mid-August. Private Music, meanwhile, slipped away from the Official Rock & Metal Albums ranking in mid-May and had not been seen again until this frame.
Around the Fur Shoots Back Into the Top 10
Around the Fur is the only Deftones collection present on either the Official Albums Sales or Official Physical Albums chart this week, but the group claims far more real estate on the Official Rock & Metal Albums tally. The album vaults from No. 17 to No. 9, returning to the top 10 as Deftones fills three spaces on the genre-specific list.
At the same time that Around the Fur bolts back into the highest tier and Private Music reenters near the bottom of the 40-space rundown, White Pony also gains ground on the same roster. That project steps up nearly 10 spaces, improving from No. 38 to No. 27.
Deftones Has Scored a Dozen Rock Albums Chart Wins
Deftones has placed 12 titles on the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart throughout its career. The first 10 all spent time between Nos. 1 and 10, while the group’s two most recent debuts, which arrived in 2025 and 2026, missed the highest tier and peaked in lower positions.
Of the three Deftones releases that chart in the U.K. this week on the rock-only roster, only Private Music has reached No. 1. Around the Fur – which brought the group to the tally for the first time almost 30 years ago in 1997 – stopped just short of ruling when it peaked at No. 2. White Pony climbed as high as No. 6, while Private Music eventually brought Deftones back to the summit.
Deftones Is One of the Week’s Busiest Rock Acts

Deftones is tied for the second-most appearances on the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart this week, with three projects on the ranking. The band matches Metallica, My Chemical Romance and Paramore, which also fill three spaces apiece.
My Chemical Romance leads the list again with Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge, which finds its way back to No. 1, while Paramore’s All We Know Is Falling reenters at No. 40 in last place. Only Linkin Park scores more hit albums on the genre-specific rundown this frame, as Hybrid Theory, Meteora, Minutes to Midnight and From Zero are all present.
