It was only a few days ago that Sabrina Carpenter’s breakout album Short n’ Sweet celebrated a very special milestone on the Billboard 200. The project is her longest-charting effort and the one that turned her into a global superstar, thanks to singles like “Espresso,” “Taste” and “Please Please Please,” among others. At one point or another, every tune featured on the set’s track list became a major commercial win.
Carpenter quickly followed that bestseller with another, Man’s Best Friend. The pop singer was quick to capitalize on the success of Short n’ Sweet, and Man’s Best Friend became another major win for her. In the same week that she wins her first Emmy, Carpenter’s most recent full-length brings her back to a chart landmark she has now seen three times.
Sabrina Carpenter’s Man’s Best Friend Reaches One Year
Man’s Best Friend celebrates 52 weeks on the Billboard 200 this frame – that’s exactly one year as one of the 200 most-consumed albums and EPs in the United States. The Billboard 200 is compiled each week using both sales and streaming data to show what albums and short sets Americans are listening to. Carpenter’s latest full-length dips two spaces this week, slipping from No. 46 to No. 48 as it reaches its milestone.
Sabrina Carpenter Has Seen Three Albums Hit a Full Year
Man’s Best Friend becomes Carpenter’s third album to spend at least 52 weeks on the Billboard 200. Last frame, Short n’ Sweet celebrated 104 periods, or exactly two years, on the ranking.
Emails I Can’t Send, which peaked at No. 23 — a respectable position for the then-rising talent — has also held on for considerably longer than a year. The set, which played a major role in Carpenter becoming a global powerhouse, though most casual listeners likely would not consider it her true breakout, has thus far spent 90 weeks somewhere on the Billboard 200. It debuted in late July 2022 at its all-time high of No. 23, and Carpenter’s three more recent releases have all broken into the top 10.
Sabrina Carpenter Has Charted Eight Projects
Carpenter has sent eight projects to the Billboard 200 throughout her career. Both Short n’ Sweet and Man’s Best Friend have taken turns ruling, while the holiday EP Fruitcake topped out at No. 10 only days before Christmas 2024.
Emails I Can’t Send remains her highest-charting release among those that did not reach the top 10. Evolution, Eyes Wide Open, Singular: Act I and Singular: Act II peaked at Nos. 28, 43, 103 and 138, respectively.
Man’s Best Friend Reaches a Year on Multiple Lists
Man’s Best Friend also hits 52 weeks on the only other Billboard ranking where it can be found this frame. The full-length is steady at No. 50 on the Top Streaming Albums chart – in last place – as it celebrates exactly one year on that roster.
Man’s Best Friend becomes Carpenter’s second release to reach that figure on the streaming-focused tally. Short n’ Sweet is now up to 104 weeks, a full two years, just one stay behind its total on the Billboard 200.
Sabrina Carpenter Has Scored Four Streaming Albums Hits
Carpenter has only scored four career placements on the Top Streaming Albums chart, one of Billboard’s newer rankings. Emails I Can’t Send peaked at No. 26 and has not yet managed two full months on the roster. Fruitcake also landed on the tally, but only for a very short visit. The EP opened at No. 47 in January 2025 and has never returned.
