WWE Money in the Bank 2026 is the most pivotal stop on the early road to WrestleMania 43.
On Oct. 10 in New Orleans, WWE will host its final PLE before November’s Survivor Series: WarGames event, a flagship show that typically lays the groundwork for the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania season. This year, however, marks an important change for Money in the Bank.
In recent years, WWE had held Money in the Bank during the summer months. But now, the event has shifted to October, making it even more important in terms of the impact it will have on WWE’s marquee storylines. Though the upcoming PLE is still nearly a month away, WWE has hinted at what the star-studded match card could look like next month.
WWE Money In The Bank 2026 Expected Match Card
WWE Championship: Sami Zayn (c) Vs. CM Punk Vs. Kevin Owens
Just this past week on SmackDown, Sami Zayn shocked the world for a second time when he defeated CM Punk to win his second WWE Championship thanks to some timely interference from Kevin Owens.
WWE is clearly playing a game of hot potato with SmackDown’s top title, and it has actually been wildly entertaining. With Punk and Zayn recently swapping the championship and Owens involved as well, a triple threat match at WWE Money in the Bank feels inevitable.
World Heavyweight Championship: Roman Reigns (c) Vs. LA Knight
One month ago, it was reported that Roman Reigns would defend his title against LA Knight at Money in the Bank.
Though that title match has not been officially confirmed, every indication is that the blockbuster bout will happen in New Orleans. Truth be told, there aren’t many other options for Reigns right now on Raw as WWE bides time until the currently penciled-in title match between Reigns and Oba Femi at WrestleMania 43.
Women’s World Championship: Stephanie Vaquer (c) Vs. Liv Morgan Vs. Becky Lynch
Much like SmackDown’s WWE Championship picture, Raw’s Women’s World Championship scene has evolved into a three-way rivalry with Liv Morgan, Stephanie Vaquer and Becky Lynch all vying for the red brand’s top women’s title.
Morgan had held that championship since WrestleMania 43, where she defeated Vaquer for it, but WWE pulled a rare shocker when Vaquer regained the title a Saturday’s live event in Vaquer’s home country Chile. While Lynch’s recent babyface turn has reinvigorated her previously stale character, Morgan’s title reign had been a bit of a dud, so putting it back on Vaquer was the right call.
However, with Lynch serving as the special guest referee for Vaquer’s title win, a triple threat match is the clear direction.
Men’s Money in the Bank Match (Bron Breakker vs. 5 other competitors)
WWE will continue to host qualifying matches across Raw and SmackDown in the weeks ahead.
There are no confirmed additions as of yet beyond Bron Breakker, but on Monday’s Raw in Mexico, a triple threat match pitting Big Cass against Austin Theory and Je’Von Evans will determine the second qualifier.
Women’s Money in the Bank Match (Sol Ruca vs. 5 other competitors)
Sol Ruca is the lone qualified for the Women’s Money in the Bank Match, and after a botch-filled Intercontinental Championship run, she’s likely in this match just to display her incredible athleticism.
It’s still unclear who will officially join her in the fold, but on Monday’s Raw, another triple threat match featuring Raquel Rodriguez against Kelani Jordan and Lol Vice, two new NXT call-ups, will help round out the field.

Men’s WWE Money in the Bank Match
WWE has confirmed just one name for the men’s Money in the Bank Match in Bron Breakker, but that may be all we need to see.
After a frustrating creative year for Breakker, he’s regaining some momentum as a featured centerpiece on Raw. Breakker still needs to break away from The Vision at some point, but regardless, he looks to be the perfect candidate to hold the 2026 Money in the Bank briefcase.
No matter which five other stars are added to the men’s MITB match, it’s difficult to envision a better winner than Breakker, though Oba Femi may have something to say about that.

Women’s WWE Money in the Bank Match
WWE’s women’s division is in a weird position right now, with numerous stars stuck out-of-position on the Raw or SmackDown pecking order.
One star who’d make an ideal MITB holder right now is Tiffany Stratton, who remains close allies with WWE Women’s Champion Chelsea Green. A briefcase win could potentially allow Stratton to turn heel and regain that title. The problem is, Stratton won the briefcase just a couple of years ago, so a second win so soon afterward would feel repetitive.
While there are other rising stars, like Jacy Jayne or Roxanne Perez, who’d benefit greatly from a win, this feels like a time WWE will go to the well with an established star. The one that stands out? Charlotte Flair, who hasn’t been pushed as a singles star in well over a year.
