The get-in price for Ed Sheeran’s Saturday show in Philadelphia has nearly halved in the last three days, according to secondary ticket marketplace TickPick, following Macklemore’s removal as a supporting act over pro-Palestinian remarks he made during Sheeran’s tour that challenged the singer’s typically apolitical stance.

The cheapest single ticket price for Sheeran’s Saturday show at Lincoln Financial Field fell to $51 on Friday morning, plunging from the $100 get-in price recorded early Tuesday morning, according to TickPick data.
Saturday’s show will mark Sheeran’s first performance since Macklemore said “free Palestine” during an opening performance early this month, and since Sheeran’s other supporting acts and backing band withdrew from the tour.
Ticket availability has surged as prices have fallen for the Sept. 19 show, according to TickPick, which recorded a 54% increase in tickets available from Tuesday morning to Friday morning.
Get-in ticket prices reached as high as $120 even in the days following Macklemore’s remarks supporting Palestinians, though the steepest drops in prices seemingly came after Macklemore was barred this week from playing at multiple venues and as Sheeran defended himself on social media.
The get-in price for Saturday’s show was $42 on StubHub as of Friday afternoon.

Macklemore said during a show at MetLife Stadium early this month he joined Sheeran’s tour to be able to say “two words that are very near and dear to my heart: free Palestine.” The rapper said in a follow-up show at MetLife, “criticism of Israel, criticism of apartheid [and] being against genocide in no way is a criticism” of Jewish people.” Macklemore said in a post this week billionaire New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft barred him from playing at Gillette Stadium and influenced other venue owners to prohibit him from performing. Macklemore acknowledged Sheeran was put in a “f—– up position,” noting the singer “couldn’t get past his public facing ‘I don’t take sides.’” Sheeran said in an Instagram post this week he “spoke with the venues at length all week to try and build a bridge,” saying he was “appalled by the conflict between Israel and Palestine.” Sheeran’s openers, Aaron Rowe, Finneas and Danish group Lukas Graham withdrew from the tour after the singer defended himself, with Rowe saying he could not “stand by and allow billionaires to use their position of power to silence the rightful voices of those who speak up against Israeli genocide and who highlight the savage murder of children.”
