The world continues to wait for pop superstar Chappell Roan to return with at least the first taste of a new album, and that wait may stretch for months, if not years. The singer-songwriter dropped her anticipated debut full-length The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess three years ago, in September 2023, and the project turned her into one of the hottest new names in pop music.
The set produced a slew of smashes, including “Hot To Go!,” “Red Wine Supernova” and “Pink Pony Club.” Since the full-length arrived, Roan has racked up multiple smashes with standalone singles, any one of which may be featured on her as-yet-unannounced sophomore album.
This week in the United Kingdom, Roan’s “Pink Pony Club,” which may at this point have overtaken “Good Luck, Babe!” as her most famous smash, returns to multiple tallies and becomes a bestseller again.
Chappell Roan’s “Pink Pony Club” Returns to the Sales Charts
“Pink Pony Club” returns to the Official Physical Singles, Official Singles Downloads and Official Singles Sales charts all at the same time, reentering those races at Nos. 80, 83 and 84, respectively. The three rankings measure slightly different ways that fans purchase music, with one focused entirely on physical formats, another on downloads and the third combining the various ways individual tracks are sold.
Chappell Roan’s Smash Hasn’t Been Missing Very Long
“Pink Pony Club” has only been missing from all three tallies for two weeks. The cut dropped off earlier in September, and it has spent more than a year on the trio of rankings.
As it returns, “Pink Pony Club” celebrates 100 weeks on the Official Singles Downloads chart. The tune may reach that milestone on the Official Singles Sales ranking very soon, as it only needs less than a month as one of the 100 bestselling cuts in the U.K. The cut is also up to 71 turns on the Official Physical Singles tally, which is focused entirely on purchases of individual tracks on CD, cassette and vinyl.
“Pink Pony Club” Has Been a Bestseller Since 2024
“Pink Pony Club” launched on all three sales tallies at different times. In August 2024, the tune first became a bestseller on the Official Singles Downloads chart, and later that month it arrived on the more general Official Singles Sales ranking. “Pink Pony Club” did not become a top performer on physical formats until January 2025.
The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess cut launched at No. 1 on the Official Physical Singles chart, but topped out in second place on both the Official Singles Sales and Official Singles Downloads rosters.
“Pink Pony Club” Rises on Two Other Charts
“Pink Pony Club” also gains ground on both the Official Streaming and Official Singles charts as well. The smash advances from No. 71 to No. 67 on the streaming tally and from No. 85 to No. 83 on the ranking of the 100 most popular songs and most consumed in the U.K.
Roan also missed out on dominating the Official Streaming chart with the hit song by one space, just as she did with “Good Luck, Babe!,” though she did finally conquer the rundown last summer with “The Subway.”
“Pink Pony Club” was, for a time, the No. 1 most-heard track in the U.K. It’s one of her two rulers alongside “The Subway,” while both “Good Luck, Babe!” and “The Giver” peaked in the runner-up spot.
Chappell Roan Charts Two Additional Hits in the U.K.
Two additional smashes by Roan are present on this week’s U.K. rankings. “Good Luck, Babe!” is amazingly a top 40 bestseller again on both the Official Singles Downloads and Official Singles Sales charts, climbing to Nos. 36 and 37, respectively. The track advances at least a dozen spaces on the two related rosters, rising from No. 57 on the downloads chart and No. 64 on the broader sales tally.

The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess Becomes a Bestseller Again
As “Pink Pony Club” becomes a bestseller again, so too does the album on which it’s featured. The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess breaks back onto the Official Physical Albums chart, but only barely, coming in third-to-last place at No. 98.
If the project can hold for one more frame – or potentially disappear and then return, which seems highly likely – it will make it to two years as one of the most-purchased collections in the U.K. The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess also appears in the lower rungs of the Official Albums and Official Albums Streaming charts as well.
