K-pop group AND2BLE just debuted a month ago and are already dominating the music scene with their first EP out, Sequence 01: Curiosity, and have already performed three sold-out concerts ‘2026 AND2BLE SHOW CONCERT: Welcome to Qurious‘ at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul last weekend.

It’s not often you find a rookie group that is so experienced and beloved before their debut last month, but AND2BLE aren’t just any rookie group. The group – comprising members Zhang Hao, Yoo Seungeon, Ricky, Kim Gyuvin, and Han Yujin – includes several of the most experienced and popular artists, stemming from two of the most popular project groups – ZEROBASEONE and EVNNE. In fact, Zhang Hao ranked No. 1 in the project series BOYS PLANET.

It’s no wonder that when they debuted, they hit the ground running, having released their EP with five songs, mostly written by Zhang Hao, Ricky, and Kim Gyuvin. After their debut, their variety show premiered as they introduced themselves. They then appeared – and won – multiple music shows. Though if you ask the young men – whose ages range from 19 – 26 – how they’re feeling, they’re just getting started.

“We just wrapped up three weeks of promotion, and received so much love from our fans,” says Zhang Hao over Zoom from the YH Entertainment offices a week before their sold-out shows. “I was so happy to see [the fans] after promoting “Curious” and then “Aura.” We will meet our fans at our concerts. We’re super excited to meet our fans in many different places.”

Yoo Seungeon, who was all smiles and positive energy, was honest about feeling a bit tired, but likes being busy. As artists, this is the kind of life they have wanted for themselves. He relays, “There were tough moments, but we were so happy and comfortable being around our fans. Being busy is good. I believe it’s a good thing. I’m just grateful that I have a lot of work to do, and there are people looking for us. We have something that keeps us busy.”

Of course, with the changes within their former groups that led to the formation of ND2BLE, many fans wanted to know more about the new group. It’s why they called their album “Curiosity,” with the lead track, “Curious,” reflecting the group’s (and their fans’) ambition to embrace change without fear.

“We chose the song because it contains facing the dangerous curiosity process, resulting in no fear,” Kim Gyuvin says, in English. “It fits our mindset when preparing this album and title song. When you catch our stage, we are compressing those feelings and mood with our performance.”

Ricky adds, “The first time we heard ‘Curious,’ it gave us the strongest reaction. We just fell in love with this song. At that time, we were not sure that our fans were going to feel the same with us, because it’s such a different song from the other ones. But, for our first debut album, we didn’t want to play the safety card. We wanted to show others the way we wanted to go, that’s why we chose ‘Curious’.”

The group admits they’re often curious about what the fans would think about their debut and their music. Zhang Hao chuckles, “I would like to know how curious our fans and the listeners have gotten after listening to our first album.”

Yoo Seungeon ponders, “I wonder how many different fans we’d be able to meet in different places in the future. I enjoy traveling. I love going to different places and experiencing different vibes, so I’m curious to find out and experience for myself the different lives of the places we go in the future.”

Having worked so hard on the album and performances, Han Yujin would like to know how the global fans are reacting to their debut. The youngest (and shyest) member is a bit caught off guard by the question, looking to his members for reassurance with his answer. Zhang Hao gives him a subtle nod of approval.

“I’m excited,” Han Yujin answers. “I’m looking forward to meeting all the fans.”

After he is interpreted, he looks proudly at the camera and gives a thumbs-up, thanking the translator. Yoo Seungeon jokes, “Good translation.”

Zhang Hao, Ricky, and Kim Gyuvin participated in writing the lyrics for ‘Curious’ and ‘Aura,’ and for a few of the other tracks. Both songs have very different moods – one of wonder, and the latter of confidence. Ricky says they took a lot of time on each song, trying to find the right lyrics for the correct moods.

“It had to fit the message we wanted to send out of the song,” says Ricky.

Zhang Hao noted that the album name itself is one of the biggest human instincts. So the tracks had to reflect that. He says, “We wanted to convey the message that you shouldn’t deny [Curiosity] or look away from it, but rather, face it boldly.”

Kim Gyuvin, who co-wrote the lyrics for the alternative pop track “Happy &” with Zhang Hao, was excited to contribute to the fan song. He explains, “I want to say our future will be bright. It’s a fan song, so I wanted it to contain the message that we will face a bright future and all the positive things.”

The future for AND2BLE looks so bright, as fans and music critics have expressed positive views towards the album. Their album sold over 730,000 copies during their first week. Though they’ve been called rookies and embraced the title, they acknowledged that they do have more experience than most new groups.

Zhang Hao says that despite their previous accomplishments, the members have often talked about never forgetting where they came from, maintaining a humble mindset, and “to stay desperate” in order to be successful.

“That’s one of the most precious things that we carry on from our previous experiences,” Zhang Hao admits. “We’ve had a lot of precious experience communicating and engaging with our fans. That level of maturity has been built among ourselves, and is one of the strengths that we have as a group.”

Yoo Seungeon believes their great synergy comes from their individuality and their determination to achieve their shared goals. He shares their experience on BOYS PLANET, how they are all performing at their best during that time, and how that experience helped get them to where they are now.

“It’s valuable that we have experience in turning our passion into achievements, and living out and expressing our passion,” he explains. “It helps us focus on our goal as a group as we start this new journey.”

Han Yujin was only 15 years old when he first appeared on BOYS PLANET, and debuted with ZEROBASEONE at 16. Now, three years later, he re-debuts at 19. He believes he’s lucky to be with his members – especially since he’s known all of them since the competition series. He shares, “I am being treated very well by the other members. They’re nice to me, and it makes me constantly think about my role as the maknae (youngest) in the group. The overall team atmosphere is always very positive and energetic. I hope the fans continue to look forward to the chemistry that we will be able to show them.”

Ricky often wonders about their future artistry and how far they can – and will – go later in life. He is open for the group to try new things – concepts, music, sounds, genres. He says, “I’m actually open to everything. I don’t think that I’ve shown enough of myself in the past, so I’m actually open to showing everything.”

Kim Gyuvin adds, “I’m looking forward to adding more languages to our [future] albums. We’re a global K-pop group, so we wish to give more love and happiness to our fans, including the global fans.”

“I want to try rapping!” Zhang Hao shouts, before covering his face, laughing.

Yoo Seungeon, who charmingly made jokes and gestures throughout the interview, comments with a big smile, “I’d like AND2BLE to be chosen as Forbes’ Best Main Vocalists among the fifth generation K-pop acts.”

Kim Gyuvin says something similar, wanting to be one of the most influential K-pop groups in the industry. He smiles shyly when I reply, “And the most handsome groups in the industry.” Yoo Seungeon claps his hands, cheering, “YEAH!”

While the group wouldn’t talk about what the next Sequence in their music would be, they have been workshopping it. They are doing it all based on their feelings. Kim Gyuvin shares, “We thought that the first feeling that humans feel is ‘Curiosity.’ We have to figure out the second feeling – more dynamic feelings.”

AND2BLE’s Sequence 01: Curiosity is available on all streaming platforms. Physical copies are available at select retailers.
