Ariana Grande’s latest album Petal is only a little more than a month old, but the singer has already released multiple versions of the set. Just a week after Petal dropped, the superstar delivered Petal – The Acapellas, which became a minor sales success in a handful of nations.
This week, Petal is back on top of a single roster in the United Kingdom – out of several that it appears on – after the Grammy winner doled out yet another take on her latest studio effort, which has now crossed over into the live space.
Ariana Grande’s Petal Returns to No. 1
Petal soars on the current edition of the Official Album Downloads chart. Last frame, the full-length sat all the way down at No. 71. Now it’s back in first place.
Grande recently shocked fans by dropping Petal – The Complete Live Album, which arrived without warning on September 8. After only a few days of availability, that collection helps the original Petal become a bestseller again.
Petal Ties Ariana Grande’s Longest Reign
As Petal finds its way back to No. 1 on the Official Album Downloads chart, it ties as Grande’s longest-running champion on the ranking. The project has now spent two frames ruling the list of the most-downloaded full-lengths and EPs in the U.K.
Petal matches Thank U, Next, which also managed a pair of periods in charge. Another two Grande efforts, Dangerous Woman and Sweetener, reached the top spot for one frame apiece and never returned.

Ariana Grande’s Petal Remains a Top 40 Win Everywhere
Petal can be found on another four U.K. rankings this week, and it remains a top 40 success on all of them. The set sits just outside the top 10 on both the Official Albums and Official Albums Sales charts, where it lands at No. 11.
The project settles at No. 19 on the Official Albums Streaming chart and No. 27 on the Official Physical Albums tally. Petal gains one spot on the main albums ranking, holds steady on the sales roster and declines on the other two lists.
“Petal” Becomes a Bestselling Single Again
At the same time that Petal blooms back to the summit of the Official Album Downloads chart, the track of the same name – recently selected as the second single from the full-length – becomes a bestseller again on download sites in the U.K. as well. “Petal” reenters the Official Singles Downloads chart at No. 93. This week marks only its third appearance on the roster, where the tune has previously climbed into the top 20.
Ariana Grande’s “Petal” Declines on Another Two Charts
“Petal” can also be found on another two U.K. rosters this frame, though it loses ground on both of them. The cut slips to No. 9 on the Official Hip Hop and R&B Singles chart, where it has already reached No. 1.
On the Official Singles chart, the main ranking of the most-consumed songs in the country, “Petal” drops from No. 35 to No. 49. The tune has lived on the tally for half a dozen frames, and it recently became another top 10 smash for the superstar.
