Eyewitness News – BADUNG

Jamie McIntyre, Chief Editor of the Australian National Review and Founder of LUX Property Group, recently presented a special report for Australian National Review TV on Indonesia’s new capital city, Nusantara (IKN).

In the report, McIntyre described Nusantara as Indonesia’s first truly master-planned eco-city, praising its beautiful boulevards, expansive parks, wide roads, striking architecture, hanging gardens and lush natural surroundings. He said parts of the landscape, with its eucalyptus trees, reminded him of Australia.

McIntyre described Nusantara as “the most well-planned city I think I’ve ever seen,” adding that walking through the city “feels like stepping into a scene from the movie Avatar.”

He noted that although the city will continue developing over the coming years, thousands of workers are already living there, buses are operating, many government buildings have been completed, and the city is approximately a two-hour drive from Balikpapan.
