JISOO for Self-Portrait Fall-Winter 2026
Self-Portrait
Jisoo is ready for her close-up — this time as a blonde.
The BLACKPINK star steps into the second character in Self-Portrait’s “Portraits of a Screen Star” campaign, which you can get your first look at exclusively on Forbes. As “The Muse,” Jisoo trades her signature dark hair for blonde locks with soft, classic Hollywood curls, paired with a pale-pink satin dress finished with feather trim. The photo is captioned with a line that doubles as the character’s thesis: “The more people admire you the easier it is to disappear.”
In the accompanying campaign video for the London fashion house, Jisoo delivers the full thought straight to camera, like a starlet in the middle of a screen test: “People recognize my face. I’m still trying to recognize myself. It’s funny. The more people admire you, the easier it is to disappear.”
It’s a marked shift in tone from the campaign’s first chapter. Released September 8, “The Enigma” introduced a curious, whimsical and quietly amused Jisoo in a grey button-knit playsuit, red check frayed knit jacket, and purple faux leather skirt. Where that character mused that “maybe we’re not supposed to have everything figured out,” this one turns the lens on fame itself — a theme that carries a punch coming from a member of one of the world’s biggest pop groups.
The Hang Chong–founded brand frames the new series as a set of imagined audition tapes. Shot in Seoul by photographer Oliver Hadlee Pearch, the campaign casts Jisoo as four distinct cinematic characters, each with its own personality, visual identity, and accompanying wardrobe.
“Portraits of a Screen Star” extends a partnership that began in 2024 when Jisoo became the first musician to front a Self-Portrait campaign. It also leans into a side of her career that has been building for years after Jisoo landed her first lead acting role in the 2021 Korean drama Snowdrop. She followed up in 2025 with the TV series Newtopia (which aired on South Korea’s Coupang Play and is available on Amazon Prime Video) as well as the film Omniscient Reader: The Prophecy (streaming on Tubi).
But this year has been arguably her most visible yet starring in Netflix’s romantic comedy Boyfriend on Demand (which premiered globally in March), receiving the Madame Figaro Rising Star Award at the 2026 Cannes International Series Festival (becoming the first Asian artist and actress to win the honor), all while BLACKPINK was wrapping up their Deadline World Tour and preparing for the release of their DEADLINE mini-album in late February. Jisoo has also linked up with major brands like Pokémon, Hello Kitty, Dyson and more.
Amid her Self-Portrait campaign dropping this month, Jisoo also released a new single, “CLICK,” with an accompanying music video that depicts the starlet as a life-like carnival doll, earning around 35 million views on YouTube in its first week.
So, while “Portraits of a Screen Star” imagines Jisoo auditioning for roles, the reality is the superstar has already landed plenty of them — with more opportunities in fashion, acting, music and beyond certainly on their way.
Look out for two more characters from Jisoo’s Self-Portrait campaign to arrive before September is done.
