Javier Sanoja, 2B/3B/SS/OF, Miami Marlins (49% rostered)

The column will be hitter-heavy this week because it’s difficult to project how teams will handle their starting pitchers over the final week. The first hitter we’ll focus on is Sanoja, who provides flexibility for fantasy managers on Yahoo because he is eligible to play four positions. He has been excellent down the stretch, hitting 24-for-65 (.369) with three home runs, 12 RBI, and 14 runs scored over his last 16 games. Miami finishes the season with three games at the Cubs and three games at home versus the Braves. Both teams will likely be lining up their starters for the playoffs, so Sanoja could thrive against their lesser pitching options.

Henry Bolte, OF, Athletics (43% rostered)

Bolte was included in this column last week. At the time, he was rostered in 31% of leagues. He has provided power and speed for the A’s, posting 11 home runs and 21 stolen bases across 110 games. While his 28.5% strikeout rate isn’t great, his 47.5% hard-hit rate stands out. All six of his games next week will be at his hitter-friendly home park, leaving him with the opportunity to finish the season on a high note.

Brett Bateman, OF, Toronto Blue Jays (9% rostered)

The Blue Jays acquired Bateman in the trade that sent Kevin Gausman to the Cubs. He didn’t hit for much power in the minors, but he had a .392 wOBA and 20 stolen bases across 84 games at Triple-A. Since being called up to the majors, he has a .368 wOBA and three steals over 34 games. Hitting atop the Blue Jays’ lineup, he has also scored 23 runs. The Blue Jays wrap up their season with series against the Orioles and Reds, who both rank inside the bottom-10 in baseball in WHIP. For those who need a boost in batting average and runs scored, consider adding Bateman.

Jonah Cox, 2B/OF, San Francisco Giants (8% rostered)

Steals can be a difficult stat to find on the waiver wire. If you’re locked in a battle for points in the category, Cox should be a priority add. Last season, he stole 58 bases over 126 games in the minors. This year, he had 34 steals over 55 games. Now a part of the Giants’ everyday lineup down the stretch, he is 23-for-71 (.324) with a .385 OBP and nine stolen bases over his last 21 games. The Giants begin next week with three games against the Twins, who allow the fourth-most stolen bases per game in the majors. They will then face the Dodgers, who could rest some of their best starters for the playoffs. Multiple steals could be on the horizon for Cox.

Adael Amador, 2B, Colorado Rockies (2% rostered)

Amador didn’t perform well during brief stints in the majors in 2024 and 2025, but the Rockies are giving the 23-year-old another opportunity in 2026. He has performed better this time around, posting a .254 ISO and a .391 wOBA across 19 games. After striking out only 48 times over 94 games at Triple-A this year, he has a measly 14.7% strikeout rate with the Rockies. The Rockies begin next week with three games against the Diamondbacks at Coors Field, then finish the season with three games at a White Sox team that ranks 22nd in xERA (4.30). Those are two ideal matchups for Amador to remain hot at the plate.
