The first two singles from The Romantic, Bruno Mars’s first solo album in nearly a decade, became huge hits all around the planet, which is common for the singer. He fronted the project with “I Just Might,” another vintage-sounding, referential tune that perfectly blends pop and R&B – and that mixing is one of the reasons why it has remained so successful for so long.

When The Romantic arrived, Mars followed “I Just Might” with “Risk It All,” and in an effort to turn that tune into the largest blockbuster possible, he tried something unusual. Weeks ago, the singer-songwriter delivered a Spanish-language version of “Risk It All” titled “Lo Arriesgo Todo.”

While the track has not been pushed heavily to mainstream audiences who are already familiar with “Risk It All,” the choice emphasizes the slight hints of Latin flair that the tune already possesses. In the United States, the strategy has helped Mars reach Latin-specific charts. In the United Kingdom this week, “Lo Arriesgo Todo” debuts on a pair of tallies, becoming an instant top 10 bestseller on the two simultaneously.

Bruno Mars Scores His Tenth Physical Singles Chart Top 10

“Lo Arriesgo Todo” gives Mars his milestone tenth top 10 on the Official Physical Singles chart, which ranks the bestselling singles in the U.K. on physical formats. Only two of the 12 Mars tracks that have reached the roster have failed to climb into the highest tier. “Just the Way You Are (Amazing)” – a title specific to the U.K. release – peaked at No. 12, while The Grenade Sessions stalled much lower at No. 75.

As “Lo Arriesgo Todo” starts at No. 5, it matches the peak previously reached by “Billionaire,” Mars’s team-up with Gym Class Heroes frontman Travie McCoy. Mars has only conquered the Official Physical Singles ranking once. He and Blackpink singer Rosé took “Apt.” all the way to No. 1, where it spent a single frame.

Here are all of Bruno Mars’s top 10 hits on the Official Physical Singles chart.

  • “Apt.” with Rosé
  • “Billionaire” with Travie McCoy
  • “Die With a Smile” with Lady Gaga
  • “I Just Might”
  • “Leave the Door Open” with Silk Sonic and Anderson .Paak
  • “Lo Arriesgo Todo”
  • “Nothin’ on You” with B.o.B
  • “Smokin Out the Window” with Silk Sonic and Anderson .Paak
  • “The Lazy Song”
  • “Uptown Funk!” with Mark Ronson

Bruno Mars Keeps His Vinyl Chart Record Perfect

Mars maintains a perfect track record on the Official Vinyl Singles chart, which focuses specifically on purchases of songs pressed on vinyl, instead of all physical formats. The superstar has only placed five tracks on the tally, but every one of them has cracked the top 10, including his new smash.

“Lo Arriesgo Todo” ties Mars’s previously-established career peak of No. 3, which he reached more than a year ago alongside Rosé with “Apt.” For a decade, “Uptown Funk,” his Grammy-winning collaboration with Mark Ronson, stood as Mars’s highest-charting vinyl single after it worked its way to No. 4. “Die With a Smile,” another Grammy-winning team-up, this time with Lady Gaga, rose as high as No. 6.

“I Just Might” reached No. 9 in March of this year, though it only managed two frames on the Official Vinyl Singles roster.

Bruno Mars Charts Four Songs in the U.K. This Week

Mars has four songs on the U.K. charts this week. Notably, while “Lo Arriesgo Todo” debuts inside the top 10 on multiple sales-focused tallies, the original English-language “Risk It All” is nowhere to be found.

“Apt.” climbs on the Official Streaming chart, as does “Die With a Smile.” The latter also slips outside the top 40 on the Official Singles ranking, and while a fall is a fall, the fact that the cut is still present at all is an impressive showing for a years-old cut.

“I Just Might” remains Mars’s busiest current hit, and it lives on four different rosters. The track holds on the Official Singles chart and rises slightly on the Official Streaming ranking, while falling on both the Official Singles Sales and Official Singles Downloads lists.
