Bruno Mars claims four hits on the charts in the United Kingdom this week. Some are streaming-only successes, while others sell well enough to appear on multiple tallies built around purchases. One cut – one of the most successful of his career – even lives on the main songs ranking, which combines sales and streams, despite failing to appear on a list dedicated solely to either metric.
Amazingly, all four of the singer-songwriter’s current wins come from different eras. Two older favorites return to the only lists where they can be found, while “I Just Might,” the lead single from The Romantic, remains his most widespread hit at the moment.
Bruno Mars Makes “Count on Me” a Bestseller Again
“Count on Me,” the final single from Mars’s debut album, Doo-Wops & Hooligans, returns to both the Official Singles Sales and Official Singles Downloads charts this week. The tune reappears on those rosters at Nos. 83 and 77, respectively.
The former single has never managed to crack the top 40 on either ranking, though it did come close. “Count on Me” peaked at No. 47 on the more encompassing sales chart and climbed one space higher, to No. 46, on the downloads-only tally.
This week marks the song’s first appearance on either list in two years. July seems to be a big month for “Count on Me,” as it was last present on the sales rundowns in the same month back in 2024. “Count on Me” has not occupied a loftier position than where it sits right now on either ranking since the previous July.
Bruno Mars Returns to the Streaming Chart With “Apt.”
“Apt.,” Mars’s collaboration with Blackpink singer Rosé, also returns, though only on a single roster. The global smash reenters the Official Streaming chart at No. 91 after disappearing from the list only a few weeks ago. The ranking measures the songs earning the most streams throughout the U.K. “Apt.” has now spent 84 weeks on the tally, making it Mars’s third-longest-charting hit.
Only “Uptown Funk,” his collaboration with Mark Ronson, and “Die With a Smile” with Lady Gaga have lasted longer. Those two blockbusters have spent 149 and 91 weeks on the Official Streaming chart, respectively.
Bruno Mars Claims Two Official Singles Chart Smashes
Mars occupies a pair of slots on the Official Singles chart this week, claiming two of the three spaces available to a lead artist under Official Charts Company rules. While “I Just Might” dips to No. 71, “Die With a Smile” remains his highest-ranking current hit, even as it slips one rung to No. 55.
The Grammy-winning collaboration with Lady Gaga reaches a milestone 90 weeks on the country’s main songs tally as it holds on. “Die With a Smile” extends its lead as Mars’s longest-charting hit on the Official Singles chart. Amazingly, the duet never reached No. 1, missing the summit by one rung when it peaked at No. 2. “Apt.” suffered the same fate.
