Years after announcing she may never be able to perform live again, and not too long after her return to the global stage at the Paris Olympics, Celine Dion recently began her first concert residency since announcing her stiff-person syndrome diagnosis, which sidelined her music career for a time.
Videos of Dion show her in tears as the rapt audience cheers on her comeback, and clearly fans all around the world are thrilled to have the chanteuse back. To celebrate her Celine Dion Paris 2026–2027 run of shows, which features more than two dozen performances at the Plentitude Arena, Dion recently dropped a new song titled “Bonjour Pardon Merci.” That cut becomes another hit for the superstar in the United Kingdom and even helps her reach one tally for the first time.
Celine Dion Reaches the Vinyl Chart for the First Time
“Bonjour Pardon Merci” debuts on two rosters in the U.K. It’s a top 20 bestseller on both of them, as the pair of rosters are focused entirely on purchases. The track performs best on the Official Vinyl Singles chart, which ranks the top-selling tunes specifically on wax. On that roster, “Bonjour Pardon Merci” opens at No. 15, bringing Dion to the vinyl-specific tally for the first time in her career.
Celine Dion Scores the Week’s Fifth-Highest Vinyl Debut
Dion claims the fifth-loftiest debut this week on the Official Vinyl Singles chart. The tally is ruled by Brooke Combe, whose “Love Was Made of Stone” opens at No. 1. Three other tracks launch within not only the top 10 but the top five, as “Run a Red Light” by Everything but the Girl, “Mandrake Root (A Tribute to Jon)” by the Steve White Trio and “Out Come the Freaks” from Soft Cell enter at Nos. 3, 4 and 5, respectively.
Another handful of cuts return to the roster only a few spaces ahead of Dion. “Wannabe” from the Spice Girls – a former champion – is back at No. 7. Peter Gabriel’s “Sledgehammer” reenters at No. 9, while Yaelokre nearly hits the top 10 once more with “Hayfields,” which appears for only the second time after topping out at No. 3.
Celine Dion Returns to the Official Physical Singles List
“Bonjour Pardon Merci” performs nearly as well on the Official Physical Singles chart as it does on the vinyl ranking. The new cut launches at No. 18 on the slightly busier list.
While Dion appears on the Official Vinyl Singles tally for the first time in her career, she has now racked up 27 appearances on the chart that also includes purchases on cassette and CD. Amazingly, Dion has not scored a new hit on the Official Physical Singles roster in nearly two decades. She last debuted a track, “My Love,” in November 2008. That tune peaked at No. 17, just one space above where “Bonjour Pardon Merci” arrives this frame.
