It was only two years ago that Ella Langley introduced herself to the world via her debut album Hungover. The project was welcomed by the country community, and it produced multiple hits in that field. The singer did reach some non-genre-specific tallies in America, like the Billboard Hot 100 – especially with a handful of collaborations with Riley Green, another rising country talent – but her popularity and success were largely focused in her chosen genre.
All that changed in late 2025 when Langley returned with “Choosin’ Texas,” the first single from her then-upcoming sophomore album Dandelion. It didn’t take long for the track to reach a wider audience, and as of this frame, “Choosin’ Texas” ties Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” as the longest-running No. 1 in Billboard Hot 100 history.
Whenever a tune is that successful, everything that follows, at least for a short period, is sure to perform well. Multiple tracks from Dandelion itself – her first No. 1 album – have not only risen high on Billboard’s country rankings and tallies like the Billboard Hot 100, they’ve helped the singer-songwriter cross over to a different audience.
It’s not often that country cuts become wins on the company’s three pop radio rosters, but this week Langley doubles her total number of smashes on one of those lists as a months-old single finally debuts.
Ella Langley Scores Her Second Adult Pop Airplay Hit
Langley scores her second career hit on the Adult Pop Airplay chart as “Be Her” launches. The tune barely manages to appear on the list at all, as it opens in last place at No. 40.
“Be Her” was released back in March, but it took half a year before enough adult pop radio stations put it into rotation to land on the rundown. That could be because programmers were not very familiar with Langley and thus somewhat resistant to play her music, or perhaps simply because both the Adult Pop Airplay and Adult Contemporary charts – two of the three pop radio rankings, along with the Pop Airplay tally – typically move at a slower pace than others.

Both of Langley’s tracks that have ever appeared on the Adult Pop Airplay chart are present at the moment. As “Be Her” launches at No. 40, “Choosin’ Texas” holds at its all-time high of No. 4. The latter track has now spent 34 weeks on the list after debuting in January and could continue to ascend in the coming weeks and months.
Only Two Songs Debut on the Adult Pop Airplay Chart
Just two tunes debut on the Adult Pop Airplay chart this week, and both are by solo female powerhouses. More than a dozen spaces further north than where “Be Her” enters, Miley – who now goes by that one name instead of Miley Cyrus – launches “Bass Persuades” at No. 27. It is her twenty-second career smash on the list.
“Be Her” Is a Top 10 Hit on Four Billboard Rankings
“Be Her” is present on eight Billboard rankings this frame, and it only manages to debut on the Adult Pop Airplay chart. The months-old cut does occupy a top 10 spot on four rundowns. “Be Her” holds at No. 4 on the Country Streaming Songs chart, keeps at No. 5 on both the Hot Country Songs and Streaming Songs rankings, and rises one spot from No. 10 to No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100.
