Reebok’s newest chapter of “Born Classic. Worn for Life,” titled “Born Classic. Worn Together” and starring Karol G, reads on its face like a straightforward celebrity endorsement: global artist, heritage sneaker brand, seasonal campaign. But look at the timing and the visual language, and it starts to look like something else entirely. It is a marketing asset built to synchronize with the biggest commercial undertaking of Karol G’s career, her “Viajando Por El Mundo Tropitour,” and it is a signal of how thoroughly brand partnerships have merged with tour marketing for artists operating at this scale.

The tour itself is enormous by any measure. The stadium run kicked off in Chicago this past July, moves through North America into the fall, and continues into Latin America and Europe through early 2027, with Karol G becoming the first Latina artist to headline stadiums across Europe as part of a global tour. It follows a Coachella run where she became the first Latina artist to headline the festival across both weekends. Every part of that trajectory is being reinforced by campaigns that borrow the same visual and sonic identity as the tour and its supporting album, Tropicoqueta.

While Karol G wears custom versions of the shoes throughout her tour set, the Reebok campaign fits squarely into that pattern. Reebok describes the campaign as drawing visual inspiration from “the vibrant orange hues and color palette” of Karol G’s Tropicoqueta era, with the community in the commercial dancing to the album’s title track. This is not a brand borrowing an artist’s fame for a quarter. It is a brand borrowing an artist’s current creative universe, on the artist’s terms, to extend the reach of a moment she has already built.

It is also not Reebok’s first appearance in that universe this year. Karol G’s 200 Copas by Casa Dragones tequila, launched in partnership with the award-winning producer, rolled out a tour-adjacent cocktail activation this past summer built around the drink and a social media challenge tied to the Tropitour’s rollout. Between the tequila, the tour, the album, and now Reebok, Karol G’s commercial partners are no longer operating as isolated sponsorship placements. They are functioning as coordinated touchpoints inside a single, ongoing brand universe that she controls the aesthetic of.
