Katseye’s “Animal” rises on the U.K.’s Official Streaming chart in its second week, bringing the Grammy-nominated to a new career on the list. Later this week, Katseye will release Wild, its third EP. The once-six-member group is currently down to only four singers, as two have gone on leave, and there is no word on when either will return.
That does not seem to be slowing the girl group down very much. Last week, Katseye debuted the single “Animal” – featured on Wild – at impressive positions on charts in a number of nations. Even as the tune begins to fall on nearly every roster where it appears in the United Kingdom, the cut climbs on one tally and brings the Grammy-nominated outfit to a new career peak.
Katseye’s “Animal’” Reaches a New Streaming Chart Peak
“Animal” debuted at No. 24 on the Official Streaming chart last week. This frame, it surges to No. 13. That new peak bucks the trend for Katseye’s latest hit, as “Animal” declines on every other U.K. ranking where it appears.
Katseye Rises to a Career High
As “Animal” climbs to a new peak on the streaming-only roster, so too does Katseye. No. 13 marks an all-time high for the singers on the Official Streaming ranking.
When “Animal” opened at No. 24, it trailed only “Pinky Up,” which topped out at No. 21 earlier this year. Now, “Animal” has passed that single and brought the all-female troupe closer to the top 10 than ever before.
Katseye’s “Animal” Has Plenty of Time to Grow
While “Animal” may already be Katseye’s highest-ranking win on the Official Streaming chart, it still has a long way to go before it matches some of the group’s other hits in terms of longevity. “Gabriela,” which peaked at No. 61, spent 24 frames somewhere on the tally, while “Pinky Up” managed eight. “Animal” ties “Internet Girl” with two stays on the list. “Gnarly,” the group’s first hit, which debuted in May 2025, only managed one turn as a U.K. streaming smash.
Katseye Falls Slightly on Three Charts
“Animal” can be found on three other U.K. rankings this week, and it declines on all of them, though only by a few spaces. The girl group’s latest slips on the Official Singles, Official Singles Sales and Official Singles Downloads charts, but it only backtracks by a few spaces, which seems to suggest that it’s a fairly study win.
Katseye Charts Two Singles in the U.K.
Katseye fills two spaces on the Official Singles chart, the most competitive and important songs ranking in the U.K. Both of the group’s hits move backward this frame. As “Animal” dips to No. 18, “Iconic By Mistake,” Katseye’s collaboration with both Le Sserafim and Illit, falls to No. 85.
