The Devil Wears Prada 2 was an immediate and massive hit at the global box office, and its success shows just how eager longtime fans of the original – which hit cinemas more than two decades ago – were for more time with Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci. Just like the first film, The Devil Wears Prada 2 features cameos from some of fashion’s biggest names, and one pop superstar decided to not just appear on screen, but become involved in the music that soundtracks the project.
Lady Gaga enjoys one scene with Streep and performs a previously unreleased cut during a runway moment. The singer wrote and recorded three original tracks for the sequel, and they help the movie’s soundtrack perform modestly on a handful of charts around the world.
Weeks after “Runway,” Gaga’s team up with rapper Doechii, returned the pop superstar to the dance floor, another two tracks that have not yet been issued as singles debut in the U.K., earning the Grammy and Oscar winner several additional top 40 smashes.
Lady Gaga Debuts Two New Songs Inside the Top 40
Both “Shape of a Woman” and “Glamorous Life” are featured in the movie The Devil Wears Prada 2, and they anchor its soundtrack as some of the only original compositions. Between the two, “Shape of a Woman” is the stronger seller in the U.K. this week, as the cut opens at No. 17 on the Official Singles Downloads chart and one space lower on the Official Singles Sales tally.
The first of those two lists is centered entirely around purchases of individual tracks on download storefronts such as iTunes and Amazon, while the Official Singles Sales chart also includes purchases on CD, cassette and vinyl.
The less popular of Gaga’s two new arrivals, “Glamorous Life,” narrowly manages to enter the top 40 on the same pair of lists. That cut opens at No. 37 on the Official Singles Downloads roster and at No. 40 on the Official Singles Sales rundown.

Throughout her career, Gaga has performed better on the Official Singles Downloads chart, at least when looking at total number of appearances. That may be due to the fact that it is less competitive when compared to the Official Singles Sales roster, since only downloads are factored into its ranking, or perhaps because Gaga broke out just as iTunes was taking over the music industry. The singer is up to 61 appearances on the Official Singles Downloads chart, and exactly 20 fewer on the more all-encompassing sales ranking.
“Shape of a Woman” Follows “Runway”
“Shape of a Woman” and “Glamorous Life” join the previously-released “Runway” on the purchase-only tallies in the U.K. That track, a house banger that also features Grammy winner Doechii, pushes to No. 14 on both the Official Singles Sales and Official Singles Downloads charts. In the four weeks it has spent on the rosters, “Runway” has broken into the top 10, but only barely, as it topped out in tenth place on the downloads list, and it stalled at No. 11 on the all-encompassing sales rundown.
Lady Gaga Earned Many New Bestsellers Thanks to Mayhem
“Glamorous Life” and “Shape of a Woman” join “Runway” as Gaga’s only debuts on the two tallies in 2026. Last year was huge for the superstar, as her album Mayhem conquered various rosters and produced a number of bestsellers. A deluxe rerelease of the Grammy-winning project produced several more hits like “The Dead Dance” and “Kill for Love.”
On the Official Singles Sales chart, two of Gaga’s most famous smashes, “Born This Way” and “Telephone” with Beyoncé, appeared for the first time last year. Both had landed on the Official Singles Downloads ranking more than a decade prior.
