Two Cast Reunions And The In Memoriam Segment Singer Are Set For 2026 Emmys
According to the Television Academy, the Emmys will commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the detective adventure drama Charlie’s Angels with a reunion of cast members Kate Jackson (who played Sabrina Duncan), Jaclyn Smith (Kelly Garrett) and Cheryl Ladd (Kris Munroe).
Sadly, three original Charlie’s Angels cast members, David Doyle (John Bosley), Farrah Fawcett (Jill Munroe) and John Forsythe (the voice of Charlie), died in 1997, 2009 and 2010, respectively.
In addition, the Emmys will commemorate the 30th anniversary of the classic fantasy horror drama Buffy the Vampire Slayer with Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy Summers) and David Boreanaz (Angel). Buffy the Vampire Slayer tragically lost three major cast members in 2026: Michelle Trachtenberg (Dawn Summers) in February, Nicholas Brendon (Xander Harris) in March and Anthony Head (Rupert Giles) in June.
Trachtenberg, Brendon and Head are sure to be included in the Primetime Emmys’ annual In Memoriam segment. Per the Television Academy, two-time Grammy nominee and multi-platinum-selling artist Noah Kahan will perform a rendition of the classic Simon & Garfunkel ballad “Bridge Over Troubled Water” during the In Memoriam segment.
