Noah Kahan reached new career highs earlier this year when he released The Great Divide. The singer-songwriter’s fourth full-length arrived four years after Stick Season, his breakthrough project, which he toured and promoted for a long time – and during that period, fans eagerly awaited new music.
The Great Divide received a warm welcome when it dropped and brought Kahan to No. 1 on multiple Billboard charts for the first time. In the months since its late-April debut, the album has continued to perform incredibly well in the U.S. This frame, however, marks the first time that it does not lead one particular ranking.
Noah Kahan Falls From No. 1 for the First Time
The Great Divide steps down from the summit of the Americana/Folk Albums chart for the first time since it launched at the summit. The genre-specific ranking measures the most-consumed Americana and folk releases in the United States, and both sales and streaming activity dictate where a title lands.
Kahan’s latest full-length has spent 13 weeks on the tally, and a dozen of them have been at No. 1. As The Great Divide finally vacates the peak position, it only slips to No. 2.
Gracie Abrams Replaces Noah Kahan
Kahan is replaced at No. 1 on the Americana/Folk Albums chart by Gracie Abrams. Her new project, Daughter from Hell, immediately conquers the tally as it debuts. Abrams does not simply score her first champion on the genre-focused ranking with her latest full-length. Daughter from Hell also gives the singer-songwriter her first top 10 and her first appearance of any kind on the list.
Noah Kahan Has Scored Two No. 1 Albums
Kahan has now pushed two projects to No. 1 on the Americana/Folk Albums chart, and both have spent months at the summit. He first conquered the ranking in June 2023 with Stick Season, which debuted at No. 1. The blockbuster has spent 79 weeks running the show throughout its lengthy history on the tally.

Amazingly, after 163 frames on the Americana/Folk Albums chart, Stick Season can still be found very close to the highest rung. The collection slips from No. 2 to No. 3 this week as Daughter from Hell arrives and pushes both of Kahan’s releases down one peg.
Noah Kahan Owns the Second-Longest Reign
Stick Season ranks as the second-longest-running No. 1 in the history of the Americana/Folk Albums chart. Its 79 weeks in charge leave it far behind the record-holder, though it is also comfortably ahead of most releases that have dominated.
Chris Stapleton’s Traveller leads with 131 weeks at No. 1. The full-length has spent more than 530 stints somewhere on the tally and is still a top 10 success this week, as it holds at No. 6.

Noah Kahan Claims Six Top Five Positions
Despite the fact that it loses its control of the Americana/Folk Albums chart, The Great Divide is still present inside the top five on half a dozen different Billboard rankings this week. The full-length continues to rule the Top Rock Albums list, holding at No. 1 for another frame. It sits at No. 2 on the Americana/Folk Albums, Top Alternative Albums and Top Rock & Alternative Albums charts.
The Great Divide also rises from No. 5 to No. 4 on the Top Streaming Albums ranking. At the same time, it holds in fifth place on the Billboard 200, where it debuted in the penthouse earlier this year, becoming Kahan’s first champion.
