Post Malone could begin the next era of his career any day now. The singer-songwriter has reportedly been working on new material for quite some time. The Grammy nominee has teased a forthcoming set, but also hinted that there may be two projects, or perhaps a double album, in the works.
Malone will certainly want to follow up his hugely successful F-1 Trillion, which saw him venturing into the country genre for the first time. That project recently turned two years old, and it was only about a month ago that Malone reissued his pre-fame mixtape August 26th, which became a bestseller after fans could finally purchase it on vinyl after so many years.
Malone mounts a minor comeback on a handful of Billboard rankings this frame as two of his biggest smashes return, though not together.
Post Malone’s “I Had Some Help” Returns
“I Had Some Help,” Malone’s collaboration with Morgan Wallen, finds its way back to the Billboard Global 200, but only barely. The track, which fronted F-1 Trillion and saw Malone leaning on Wallen’s popularity and credibility in country music, was an unqualified success. This week, it barely makes it back onto the 200-space tally, finding itself at No. 193.
Post Malone’s “Circles” Mounts a Comeback
A different track, one from a chapter of Malone’s career in which he experimented with more top 40 pop-friendly sounds, reappears on a similar roster. “Circles” bounds back onto the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. in a much loftier position than where “I Had Some Help” returns on the Billboard Global 200.
“Circles” is back at No. 160 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. The ranking measures the most popular tracks throughout the world based on streaming and sales activity, much like the Billboard Global 200, though all consumption hailing from fans in the United States is removed from its methodology.
“Circles” Surges on the Billboard Global 200
Unlike “I Had Some Help,” “Circles” can be found on both planet-spanning rankings. As it returns to the Billboard Global Excl. U.S., “Circles” rockets from No. 157 to No. 99 on the Billboard Global 200 – growing by more than 50 spaces, or more than one-quarter of the entire rundown.
Malone fills two spaces on both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. “Sunflower (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse),” his diamond-certified collaboration with Swae Lee, dips on the two rosters, but the cut manages to hold inside the top 40 on one of them. This frame, “Sunflower” declines from No. 25 to No. 36 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. and from No. 28 to No. 43 on the Billboard Global 200.
