Once again this week, Shakira and Burna Boy are blocked from scoring a No. 1 on the Official Singles chart, the most important ranking for songs in the United Kingdom. The tally lists the most popular tunes in the nation by blending sales and streams, and “Dai Dai,” which the two artists recorded for the recently finished World Cup, has stalled at No. 2 behind Olivia Dean and Sam Fender’s “Rein Me In.”

This frame, “Rein Me In” holds at No. 1 for a nineteenth week. It is the first track in U.K. history to spend that many frames running the show, and as it holds at the summit the collaboration breaks a record that had stood for more than half a century.

While “Dai Dai” may have to wait again before it potentially becomes a champion, Shakira scores a new streaming win with one of her biggest career hits and watches a recent smash connected to one of the most commercially successful films of all time reenter multiple tallies at once.

Shakira Debuts “Hips Don’t Lie” on the Streaming Chart

“Hips Don’t Lie,” Shakira’s collaboration with Wyclef Jean, debuts on the Official Streaming chart this week, entering the race at No. 79. The ranking tracks the most-streamed songs throughout the U.K. across major platforms, regardless of language or style. The launch gives Shakira her seventh career placement on the Official Streaming tally.

Shakira Has Scored Four Streaming Hits This Year

Of Shakira’s seven career placements on the Official Streaming chart, more than half — four in total — have debuted in 2026. “Zoo” arrived in January and has since peaked at No. 66, while “Dai Dai” became her first No. 1 not long ago. “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa),” another World Cup anthem, finally launched on the streaming tally years after its initial release and climbed as high as No. 45.

Shakira’s first two hits on the ranking arrived in July 2014, and then in late January 2023, she and Bizarrap scored another success together.

Shakira’s “Hips Don’t Lie” Starts Near the Bottom

“Hips Don’t Lie” is now the second-lowest-peaking of all Shakira’s tunes to reach the Official Streaming chart. Its No. 79 debut only beats one of her previous entries. “Can’t Remember to Forget You,” her collaboration with Rihanna, remains her lowest-charting hit on the roster. That team-up peaked at No. 94 more than a decade ago.

Wyclef Jean Charts His Second Streaming Hit

As a soloist, Wyclef Jean appears on the Official Streaming chart for only the second time. He first reached the tally in December 2017 on the tune “Dimelo,” which was fronted by Rak-Su and also features Naughty Boy. That song performed considerably better than “Hips Don’t Lie” has – at least so far. “Dimelo” broke into the top 40 and climbed as high as No. 37.

Shakira Brings “Zoo” Back to Three Charts

“Zoo” returns to three U.K. rankings at the same time, though it appears fairly low on all of them. The track reenters the Official Singles Downloads, Official Streaming and Official Singles Sales charts at Nos. 89, 91 and 94, respectively.

Shakira and Burna Boy Hold at No. 1

“Dai Dai” is a non-mover on both the Official Singles and Official Streaming charts, but this week, the collaboration moves backward on the two sales-focused rankings. “Dai Dai” slips from second place to No. 4 on both the Official Singles Sales and Official Singles Downloads rosters.

Shakira Places “Waka Waka” on Four Charts

“Waka Waka (This Time for Africa),” Shakira’s collaboration with Freshlyground, appears on the same four rankings as “Dai Dai,” though unsurprisingly, it does not perform quite as well.

The older World Cup anthem remains inside the top 40 on two of them, sitting at No. 32 on the Official Singles chart and No. 38 on the Official Singles Downloads list. It lands beneath that tier on both the Official Streaming and Official Singles Sales rankings.
