It’s not often you see a hat-trick in a single week of TV, but that’s what we’ve gotten this week across multiple streaming services. Three shows now have 100% Rotten Tomatoes scores from critics, and all are going to be worth checking out, even if you have to catch up on a few seasons of them.
Silo season 3 (Apple TV) – After a somewhat uneven second season that separated its main character from the entire rest of the cast for its duration, Silo has reunited them for a killer season 3. It has over a dozen reviews in on Rotten Tomatoes, making that 100% solid, and yet another win for Apple TV, which simply cannot miss with its original programming these days. I’ve said before that it has the highest batting average of any streaming service, and that’s especially true of its sci-fi catalog, which has no comparable rival. Silo is a big part of that.
X-Men ’97 season 2 (Disney Plus) – The first season of X-Men ’97 is one of the highest-scored projects in the entire history of Marvel, movie or show. Now, with its second season earning a 100% Rotten Tomatoes score, it has an overall 99%, and I think it has taken the #1 spot. The animated series is the best rendition of the squad possibly ever, and this season, digging into an Apocalypse storyline, may be even better than the first.
Adventure Time: Side Quests

Adventure Time: Side Quests (Hulu) – Adventure Time is back in the form of a prequel series, Side Quests, that follows the early days of Jake and Finn. It joins other, well-reviewed experiments like this, Fionna and Cake, Distant Lands, which join the original beloved series. The original Adventure Time, across all ten seasons, has a 100% Rotten Tomatoes score and a 94% audience score. That may make it one of the best-reviewed shows on the site in history, if not the best, given that ten-season stretch (though a few seasons didn’t have enough reviews in for a score).
Those are three brand new ones with those scores, but others are certainly worth watching, many of which have ended just recently. Those would include Widow’s Bay (98%), The Bear (97%), From (96%) and Spider-Noir (92%). Sugar (97%) and House of the Dragon (92%) have just started.
I know that there was a specifically labeled golden age of TV years ago, but I do think we might be in one now. It may be hard to dig it out due to the sheer volume of bad content out there, but there are so, so many gems to find, including all of the above.
