The fight that has seemingly been put off more times any championship bout in recent memory is finally scheduled to happen on March 28.
Sebastian Fundora will defend his WBC 154-pound title against former world champion Keith “One-Time” Thurman in the main event of Prime PPV’s next big boxing card. Let’s break down the particulars.

Fundora is making the third defense of his WBC crown. He’s 28, stands 6’5½”, fights southpaw, and carries an 11-inch height and reach advantage over Thurman.
He beat Tim Tszyu twice — the second time stopping him in Round 7 — and dismantled Chordale Booker with a fourth-round TKO in March 2025. This is his biggest name-value matchup yet.
Fundora’s family story is worth knowing.
He and his younger sister Gabriela — the undisputed flyweight champion — are trained together by their father Freddy, making them the first brother-sister simultaneous world champions in boxing history.

Thurman is 37 and hasn’t fought since stopping Brock Jarvis in three rounds in March 2025. He’s a former unified WBC/WBA welterweight champion who beat Shawn Porter, Danny Garcia, and Robert Guerrero before dropping a split decision to Manny Pacquiao in 2019. This is his shot at becoming a two-division world champion.
The original matchup was set for October 25, 2025, but a hand injury Fundora suffered in sparring pushed it back. Now both fighters are focused and the delay only added stakes.
As PBC President Tom Brown put it, “Fundora’s non-stop pressure against Thurman’s heavy hands and skills are perfect ingredients for tense drama right from the opening bell.”
Oddsmakers agree with the favorite tag on Fundora.
He’s currently sitting at -450, with Thurman at +300 on FanDuel. The biggest question isn’t whether Fundora is better — it’s whether Thurman’s power and ring IQ are enough to pull off the upset at 37.
