The Myles Garrett trade certainly moved the needle with the sportsbooks.
And in the process, the Green Bay Packers’ odds of winning the Super Bowl became a little bit longer.
Garrett, the NFL’s two-time Defensive Player of the Year, was traded from Cleveland to the Los Angeles Rams Monday. The Rams were already the favorites at DraftKings to win Super Bowl LXI at +800.
After acquiring Garrett, though, the Rams are now even greater favorites at +600. Buffalo and Baltimore are both +1000, while reigning Super Bowl champion Seattle (+1100) and Kansas City (+1500) round out the top five.
The Packers had been +1500 to win the Super Bowl before the Garrett trade and are now +1700. Green Bay does have the best Super Bowl odds among NFC North teams, followed by Detroit (+1900), Chicago (+2500) and Minnesota (+5000).
Interestingly, while DraftKings gives Green Bay the best Super Bowl odds among NFC North teams, it has the Lions favored to win the division. Detroit’s odds at DraftKings to win the NFC North are +186, followed by Green Bay (+210), Chicago (+310) and Minnesota (+500).
