There are a large number of songs that pick up steam annually at a certain point during the year. Countless Christmas-related tunes sell well in December and become streaming smashes, while other artists have enjoyed continued commercial success with tracks attached to different times of the year. Miley Cyrus’s “Party in the U.S.A.” becomes a win around July 4 in the United States, and Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” may forever be connected to Halloween.

Now, Noah Kahan may have an annual smash of his own. “End of August,” featured on his latest album The Great Divide, was a fan favorite from the moment it was released, but the cut may have taken on new significance. As August turned to September, consumption of “End of August” jumped, and this week it earns the singer-songwriter another special win in the United Kingdom.

Noah Kahan’s “End of August” Debuts

“End of August” debuts at No. 68 on the Official Singles chart. The ranking measures the most-consumed songs of any style throughout the U.K. each week using a methodology that incorporates both sales and streaming activity. The timely arrival gives Kahan his sixteenth career placement on the Official Singles ranking, and it is his first new entry on the tally since June of this year.

Noah Kahan Charts Three Hits at Once

The Official Charts Company only allows an act to fill three spaces on the Official Singles chart each week, at least when that artist is unaccompanied. Kahan claims all three of his available spots this frame, and as “End of August” adds to his cumulative career total, his other two current smashes both rise to new peaks. “Orbiter” steps up three spaces to No. 28, while “Willing and Able” climbs eight rungs to No. 39, breaking into the top 40 for the first time.

Notably, neither “Willing and Able” nor “End of August” appears on any other U.K. ranking at the moment. The Official Singles chart blends purchases and streams, but neither tune sold well enough to rank among the bestselling cuts in the nation, nor did either one generate enough plays on platforms like Spotify, Apple Music and others to appear on the streaming-only tally.

“Orbiter” Reaches New Peaks on Multiple Charts

That is not the case for “Orbiter.” The Great Divide track rises to new highs on both U.K. rankings where it can be found this week. In addition to climbing to No. 28 on the Official Singles chart, “Orbiter” advances from No. 76 to No. 69 on the Official Streaming tally. The song establishes a new impressive showing three weeks into its run on the streaming-focused roster.

“Stick Season” Remains a U.K. Hit

Four Kahan songs appear on at least one U.K. ranking this frame. In addition to his three current Official Singles hits, the years-old “Stick Season” – which may ultimately be remembered as the singer-songwriter’s biggest win – is present on two other tallies.

“Stick Season” rises one space to No. 55 on the Official Streaming chart. It moves in the opposite direction on the Official Physical Singles ranking, dropping to No. 41 and falling just outside the top 40.

Noah Kahan’s Album Returns to No. 1

The Great Divide can be found on seven rosters in the United Kingdom this week, and it gains ground on more than half of them. The full-length rises on the Official Albums, Official Albums Sales, Official Physical Albums and Official Americana charts, while declining slightly on the Official Albums Streaming, Official Album Downloads and Official Vinyl Albums tallies.

The title’s most impressive move comes on the Official Americana chart. The Great Divide jumps from No. 3 back to No. 1, returning Kahan to the summit on the genre-specific ranking as the album continues its successful run.
