When Drake releases a new album, it debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. That is all but a given at this point, but the rapper himself sees two projects miss out on the summit on Billboard‘s ranking of the most-consumed albums in the United States – though for very good reason. As Iceman starts in first place, Habibti and Maid of Honour enter the competitive roster at Nos. 2 and 3, respectively. Drake is now the first artist to claim the entire top three on the Billboard 200 simultaneously, as he delivered a trio of full-lengths all at the same time. Americans responded by listening to them, if not purchasing them in massive numbers.

Even as millions of fans focused their attention on Iceman, Habibti and Maid of Honour, they also continue to consume the full-lengths that turned the Canadian rapper into a global powerhouse so many years ago. Drake manages an incredible showing on the Billboard 200 – one which no living act has accomplished before.

Drake Charts 12 Albums on the Billboard 200

On the current Billboard 200, 12 albums by Drake appear. That roundup is led, of course, by his three debuts, while every other title from the musician falls. Where they rank is not as important as the sheer number of successful titles that can be found on the 200-space rundown, which is a first in one specific respect.

Here is where all of Drake’s albums appear on this week’s Billboard 200.

  • No. 1 – Iceman
  • No. 2 – Habibti
  • No. 3 – Made of Honour
  • No. 25 – Take Care
  • No. 40 – Views
  • No. 55 – Some Sexy Songs 4 U with PartyNextDoor
  • No. 65 – Scorpion
  • No. 69 – Certified Lover Boy
  • No. 81 – Thank Me Later
  • No. 96 – For All the Dogs
  • No. 130 – More Life
  • No. 167 – Nothing Was the Same

Drake Joins Prince and The Beatles in a Major Feat

According to Billboard, Drake is now the first living artist to see 12 albums appear on the Billboard 200 simultaneously. When looking at musical acts – either those who have passed on or those that are no longer together – the hip-hop hitmaker joins both Prince and the Beatles in this incredible showing.

Prince continues to hold the all-time record for the most simultaneous wins on the Billboard 200. On the chart dated May 14, 2016, following his unexpected passing, 19 releases bearing his name landed on the list. Two weeks later, a lucky 13 settled on the tally.

The Beatles appeared in 14 slots on the ranking dated December 4, 2010. The Fab Four nearly matched that showing again in the spring of 2014, when 13 albums took up space on the roster at the same time.

Drake Ties Taylor Swift’s No. 1s Record

With another leader to his credit, Drake advances when it comes to the artists with the most No. 1s in the decades-long history of the Billboard 200. Iceman is his milestone fifteenth leader, and he’s now on the same level as Taylor Swift. The two jointly claim the second-most winners ever, behind only the Beatles. The band racked up 19 Billboard 200 No. 1s while the musicians were together, and even added to that sum in the years that followed.
