The countdown is officially on. After more than a decade on air, one of Spanish-language television’s most legendary characters is preparing for his final battle.
Telemundo has set a premiere date for the last chapter of its longest-running franchise. The Emmy Award-winning El Señor de los Cielos (The Lord of the Skies), which first captivated audiences in 2013, will return for its tenth and final season on Tuesday, July 7 at 9 p.m. ET/8 CT, bringing the saga of Aurelio Casillas to an explosive close.
In the highly anticipated Season 10, announced in January, Aurelio Casillas, portrayed once again by Mexican actor Rafael Amaya, returns more powerful, ambitious and relentless than ever. After disappearing from his family’s radar, he resurfaces to reclaim control of his empire and cement his legacy, waging war against old and new enemies while pushing the limits of power, loyalty and survival.
With the DEA closing in, loyalties tested and his thirst for control growing stronger, Aurelio finds himself crossing a line that could cost him everything.
Amaya, who reprises his iconic role for the first time since the series’ earlier seasons, also steps into an executive producer role for the milestone season.
Fan Favorites Return To Hit Franchise
Despite its long-lasting success, which spawned the successful spinoff Dinastía Casillas in 2025, Telemundo revealed Season 10 will be the Super Series’ last.
Joining Amaya for the final season are returning fan favorites Carmen Aub as Rutila Casillas and Isabella Castillo as Diana Ahumada.
The cast also includes Roberto Sosa, Maricela González, Robinson Diaz, Sandra Echeverría, Ximena González-Rubio, Leonardo Álvarez, Denia Agalianu, Carlos Corona, Estefanía Hinojosa, José Sedek, Elsy Reyes, Plutarco Haza, Wendy de los Cobos, Nicolás Haza, Aleida Núñez, Michel Chauvet, Carla Carrillo, Marco Tostado, Roberta Burns, Daniel Martínez Campos, Gabriel Nuncio, José Dammert, David Ponce, Fernando Banda, Alejandro Félix, Alejandro Navarrete and Roberto Valdez.
A Telemundo Studios production, the series is created and written by Luis Zelcowicz and directed by Danny Gavidia, Mauricio Corredor, Laura Marco and Jorge Ríos. Javier Pons, Jacky Castro, Monica Vizzi and Rafael Amaya serve as executive producers, with Mabel Vargas as general producer.
