Morgan Wallen trades one No. 1 for another on one of the most competitive radio charts in America this week. Last time around, he ruled Billboard’s Country Airplay tally with “Don’t We,” the latest single from his blockbuster album I’m the Problem. After a short stint in first place, the Grammy nominee swaps that winner for “I Can’t Love You Anymore,” his collaboration with Ella Langley.
Only 15 weeks into its time on the ranking, the duet finally reaches No. 1. As “I Can’t Love You Anymore” takes over the Country Airplay chart, Wallen moves up on the list of artists with the most leaders in the country roster’s history. At the same time, Langley manages a very specific historical feat – one which no other solo woman has accomplished.
Ella Langley Makes History
At the same time that “I Can’t Love You Anymore” dominates the Country Airplay chart, Langley also sits at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, the ranking of the most popular songs of any style in the United States — but not with the same tune.
“I Can’t Love You Anymore” drops to No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 as “Choosin’ Texas” holds firm in the highest rung. Billboard reports that Langley is the first solo female artist to appear at No. 1 on both the Billboard Hot 100 and Country Airplay ranking simultaneously with different tracks.
Ella Langley Joins Two Other Musical Acts
Langley may be the first solo female artist to accomplish the specific feat, but she is not the only act. Lonestar first broke this barrier more than a quarter-century ago. The country band’s “Amazed” sat at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 while “Smile” led the Country Airplay tally in March 2000.
25 years passed before Wallen became the first country act to follow Lonestar in this historic showing. In late May 2025, “What I Want,” his team-up with Canadian pop singer Tate McRae, ruled the Billboard Hot 100. At the same time, “I’m the Problem,” the title track from his latest full-length, sat at No. 1 on the Country Airplay roster. Now, a little more than a year later, Langley joins that exclusive club.
Ella Langley Scores Her Fifth Country Airplay No. 1
As “I Can’t Love You Anymore” steps up to No. 1 on the Country Airplay chart, Langley collects her fifth champion on the radio-focused list. Only one of her top 10 hits has failed to dominate, and “Weren’t for the Wind” only missed the summit by one space, as it topped out at No. 2.
Morgan Wallen Earns His Twenty-Second No. 1
“I Can’t Love You Anymore” also gives Wallen his historic twenty-second leader on the Country Airplay tally. With his latest champion, Wallen breaks out of a tie with Keith Urban and Thomas Rhett. He now solely claims the eighth-most No. 1 hits in the history of the ranking.

Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” Reaches 17 Weeks at No. 1
Meanwhile, “Choosin’ Texas” becomes only the fourth song in history to manage 17 weeks or more at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Langley’s career-making smash trails the 22 frames that Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” has accumulated so far – a figure that will grow later this year when it finds its way back to the top spot – as well as the 19-week reigns managed by “Old Town Road” by Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus and Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy).”
