A24 released the official trailer for “You Can See Everything,” Nathan Fielder’s highly anticipated documentary made in secret profiling Theranos founder and convicted fraudster Elizabeth Holmes before and after she reported to prison for her 11-year sentence, offering viewers a strange preview of conversations with the controversial founder and her husband before its October release date.

Fielder and his crew were given access to Holmes and her family 34 days before she reported to federal prison, according to the film’s official logline, and in the trailer Holmes can be heard telling the filmmakers “I think this is the moment in time to capture the story before I’m gone.”
Fielder and co-director Lance Oppenheim debuted the film earlier this month at the Telluride Film Festival in Colorado, where Fielder, famous for his reality-comedy shows “Nathan For You” and “The Rehearsal,” said he was “struggling to this day to understand exactly what I experienced” while filming.
The brief two and a half minute trailer released on Wednesday begins with Fielder asking Holmes “You really feel you did nothing wrong?”—which the Theranos founder answers with “I did not.”
“It took me a really long time to be okay with, um… with letting someone see me cry,” Holmes says in the last line of the trailer, before a single tear wells in her eye moments later.

The new trailer also features conversations with Holmes’ husband, William “Billy” Evans, who she married in 2019 after her company collapsed and was indicted on federal charges for wire fraud. Evans tells Fielder that he “fell in love from that first conversation” with his wife, which was “probably before” he knew she was the founder of Theranos. When Fielder asked Evans if he was worried Holmes was scamming him as well, he said he was “100%, but what did she have to gain from me?” The documentarian pointed out that his family was rich, but Evans said “yeah I think that there’s a lot of different levels of wealth.” When asked if he was suspicious that Holmes ever lied to him, he said “no, never.” Evans controls Holmes’ personal account on X, according to an NPR tech correspondent, which is surprisingly active even though she is incarcerated at a minimum-security federal prison without internet access.

Elizabeth Holmes was previously listed as the youngest self-made woman billionaire in the U.S. in 2014, with an estimated net worth of $4.5 billion at just 30 years old. However, reports in the Wall Street Journal questioned her company’s blood testing technology, and the business that previously had a $9 billion valuation soon faced federal fraud investigations. By 2016, Forbes revised her net worth, which was primarily based on her 50% stake in Theranos, to be $0. Holmes was eventually indicted in 2018 on charges of fraud and conspiracy. She was eventually convicted on wire fraud charges in 2022 and sentenced to 11 years and three months in federal prison.
