After Lewis Hamilton’s win in Barcelona, the Formula 1 schedule moves to the Austrian Grand Prix this weekend. Here’s how you can watch it for free.

The race at the famed Red Bull Ring in Spielberg suddenly becomes increasingly critical as Ferrari has closed the development gap on Mercedes where Kimi Antonelli holds the Drivers Championship points lead (5 wins and 6 podiums) while Hamilton has moved into 2nd (1 win and 4 podiums) over George Russell.

Also, heading into the race, several teams are making substantial changes to the car including Cadillac, where they look to gain their first points.

“We are … pleased to be able to bring another substantial upgrade package this weekend. With new sidepods and floor it’s a significant amount of work and we hope that it will continue our trajectory of steadily catching-up to the midfield,” said Team Principal Graeme Lowdown ahead of this weekend’s race.

Under the new Formula 1 media rights deal in America with Apple TV, all races are now hosted on the streaming service. For the Austrian Grand Prix, Apple is making the entire race weekend free in the U.S. That means all practice sessions, qualifying, and the race itself will not require a subscription.

Formula 1 on Apple allows users to watch in 4K Dolby Vision with immersive 5.1 surround sound. Viewers can personalize their race-day experience with Multiview, including one-tap layouts for teams (main broadcast + onboard feeds), as well as dedicated Podium and Data Multiviews to follow the action in real time. Users can select to watch the F1 TV or Sky Sports broadcast from the various feeds.

Below shows the Apple TV broadcast schedule for the Austrian Grand Prix race weekend.
