Blackpink superstar Jennie scored the hit of her career – her solo career, at least – when she joined Tame Impala on the song “Dracula.” The tune was originally a solo cut featured on the alternative act’s latest album Deadbeat, which arrived last fall. “Dracula” became a charting hit on its own, and then soared to greater heights and reached rankings it likely would not have competed on without Jennie’s involvement once she lent her vocals to the cut.
In the months since the track became a duet (of sorts), “Dracula” has reigned as one of the most popular singles around the world throughout 2026. On most Billboard tallies, the smash has nowhere left to climb. There is one ranking where “Dracula” ascends to a new peak position this week, and as it steps up, the collaboration makes history among K-pop wins.
Jennie’s “Dracula” Reaches a New Pop Radio High
A lucky 13 weeks into its run on the Adult Contemporary chart, “Dracula” steps up one space, ascending from No. 16 to No. 15. That may not look like a huge lift – it’s only one space, after all – but the minor gain becomes much more important when looking specifically at the history of K-pop on the radio tally.
Jennie Ties Her Blackpink Bandmate
As it improves its standing, “Dracula” ties as the second-highest-charting smash that can be classified as K-pop, or which credits a K-pop artist, on the Adult Contemporary chart. The collaboration matches “Moonlit Floor (Kiss Me)” by Jennie’s Blackpink bandmate Lisa, which reached No. 15 last year.
“Dracula” Passes Several Major K-Pop Hits
Just last week, “Dracula” flew to No. 16 on the Adult Contemporary chart, establishing a new peak position that held for only a few days. As it reached that spot, the single tied five other hits by K-pop artists as some of the third-highest-rising wins of all time on the radio rundown.
Now “Dracula” passes BTS’s “Dynamite” and “Swim,” as well as the septet’s collaboration with Coldplay, “My Universe.” Lisa’s “Priceless,” her team-up with Maroon 5, and “Apt.” by another Blackpink member, Rosé, alongside Bruno Mars, also peaked at No. 16.
K-Pop Has Produced Only One Adult Contemporary Top 10
K-pop has only produced one top 10 hit on the Adult Contemporary chart thus far. “Golden,” taken from the Netflix animated film KPop Demon Hunters, nearly ruled the roster, but missed out on making history in that regard by one space.
“Golden,” credited to the girl group Huntr/x as well as singers Ejae, Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami, topped out at No. 2. The Grammy- and Oscar-winning song was stuck behind Alex Warren’s “Ordinary,” which continues to reign as one of the longest-running No. 1 hits in the history of the Adult Contemporary rundown.
“Dracula” Continues to Rule Several Billboard Charts
In addition to reaching a new peak on the Adult Contemporary ranking, “Dracula” holds at No. 1 on the Adult Pop Airplay, Hot Rock & Alternative Songs, Hot Rock Songs, Hot Alternative Songs, Hot Dance/Electronic Songs and Dance Streaming Songs charts this week. The collaboration also soars back to the summit of the Pop Airplay ranking. “Dracula” steps up one space from No. 2 to No. 1, returning to the throne and scoring a seventh frame in charge.
