The Associated Press noted few details were given and an explanation for the venue change was not provided.
The Kennedy Center’s board voted last month to temporarily close the building based on immediate safety concerns, citing a partial ceiling collapse.
Outside of the safety concerns, the Trump administration has sought to close the Kennedy Center for renovations after a judge ruled it could not inscribe Trump’s name on the marble facade.
The renovations, which are expected to take two years, have not yet been approved by a judge.
