In America, Miley — yes, it’s Miley now, not Miley Cyrus anymore — sees her new album Bass Persuades bring her back to the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200, the most important albums ranking in the nation. The set does not perform nearly as well in other territories, including in the United Kingdom. In fact, Bass Persuades underperforms on the main U.K. list, though it does launch inside the top 10 on multiple other tallies. Miley comes extremely close to scoring another leader on only one sales roster, but misses out by just one frustrating spot.
Bass Persuades Nearly Reaches No. 1
Bass Persuades debuts at No. 2 on the Official Album Downloads chart, which ranks the bestselling releases based specifically on purchases made via digital retailers. Miley nearly adds another champion to her catalog, but Cheap Thrills beats her to the summit as Keep Cheap launches at No. 1.
The runner-up start is a first for Miley on the downloads tally. She has ruled three times in the past, beginning with Bangerz in the fall of 2013. Her two most recent projects, Endless Summer Vacation and Something Beautiful, also reached No. 1, and all of those titles managed only one turn running the show.
Miley Collects Her Ninth Downloads Ranking Top 10
Miley may not earn another leader, but she does collect a ninth top 10 on the Official Album Downloads chart. She has placed a dozen projects onto the roster, and very few have missed the uppermost tier. The Time of Our Lives, Breakout and Hannah Montana Forever are the exceptions, peaking at Nos. 17, 23 and 40, respectively.
Here are all of Miley’s top 10s on the Official Album Downloads chart.

Bass Persuades Reaches the Top 10 on Four Charts
Bass Persuades launches on five rankings in the U.K., earning a top 10 start on all but one of them. In addition to its No. 2 opening on the Official Album Downloads tally, the set kicks off its time at No. 5 on both the Official Albums Sales and Official Vinyl Albums charts. The full-length comes in one space lower, at No. 6, on the Official Physical Albums ranking.
Miley is now up to five top 10s on both rosters where Bass Persuades starts in fifth place, and she has accumulated seven wins in that competitive space on the physical-only list.

The only ranking where Bass Persuades misses the top 10 is the Official Albums chart – the most important of them all. The tally tracks the 100 most-consumed releases in the nation using a methodology that includes both sales and streaming activity, making it the most competitive albums list in the U.K.
Bass Persuades opens at No. 13 on the roster this frame. It becomes the first traditional studio full-length by the Grammy winner under her name – which, to be fair, has changed from Miley Cyrus to Miley – to miss the top 10, though several other collections have landed on the roster without climbing into the loftiest tier. That group includes the aforementioned The Time of Our Lives and Hannah Montana Forever, as well as Best of Both Worlds Concert, which was credited to both Hannah Montana and Cyrus.
