NFL Week 4: Sunday Night Football Best Player Props
- Jahmyr Gibbs Over 94.5 Rushing Yards (-114) at FanDuel Sportsbook
- Darren Waller Over 26.5 Receiving Yards (-114) at FanDuel Sportsbook
Jahmyr Gibbs (Detroit Lions – RB)
Jahmyr Gibbs is a workhorse and thriving this year. Gibbs has handled 65 of Detroit’s backfield’s 74 rush attempts this season.
He also looks great relative to his peers across the NFL. Among 36 running backs with at least 25 rush attempts this season, Gibbs is fourth in rushing yards per game (102.3), tied for fourth in rush attempts per game (21.7), 11th in yards per carry (4.72), tied for fourth in yards before contact per attempt (3.03), tied for 30th in yards after contact per attempt (1.69), second in missed tackles forced per game (6.33), second in explosive run rate (19.3%), seventh in success rate (58.5%) and 15th in stuff rate (41.5%).
The 24-year-old running back has rushed for 156, 52 and 99 yards in three games this season, going over 94.5 rushing yards in Detroit’s two wins and under in their loss. Gibbs has averaged 107.4 rushing yards per game in 11 wins since last season.
Gibbs has a mouthwatering matchup this week. The Panthers have allowed the most rushing yards per game (144.7) and the most yards per carry (5.86) to running backs this season.
Gibbs should run roughshod over the Panthers and surpass his line of 94.5 rushing yards.
Darren Waller has recorded 28, 33 and 51 receiving yards in three games this season.

Darren Waller (Carolina Panthers – TE)
Darren Waller isn’t an elite talent like Gibbs. However, his matchup is arguably as tasty as Detroit’s workhorse running back’s matchup.
Tight ends have barbecued the Lions for the most receiving yards per game (117) and the sixth-most yards per target (9.24) this season. Juwan Johnson (54 receiving yards), Noah Fant (33 receiving yards), Dalton Kincaid (95 receiving yards), Kenyon Sadiq (105 receiving yards) and Jeremy Ruckert (39 receiving yards) have all gone over 26.5 receiving yards against the Lions this season.
Waller is also in a receiving-friendly offensive environment. The Panthers are tied for first in situation-neutral pace, and they’re fourth in pass rate over expected (7.5% PROE) this season.
The Panthers have used Waller as a part-time player this season, with just a 42.3% snap share and a 49.6% route participation rate. That said, Waller had only a 33.9% snap share and a 37.2% route participation rate in Week 1, and he has had a 46.3% snap share and a 55.6% route participation rate in the past two weeks.
Even in his part-time gig, Waller has rattled off 28, 33 and 51 receiving yards this season. Waller has also earned targets at a stellar 0.18 target per route rate this season, which bodes well for his outlook if his playing time ticks up a bit more this week in a game where the Panthers will likely need to pass early and often to keep up with Detroit’s high-octane offense.
Waller’s over for 26.5 receiving yards is an exciting wager from Sunday Night Football.
