Looking for help uncovering words in today’s NYT Strands puzzle? Look no further! Below, you’ll find some extra clues and other help to get you started in your quest.

Tuesday is here and with it the chill winds of autumn, blowing in and ruffling the fallen yellow leaves. It’s quite lovely, though I’m constantly craving hot drinks at the moment. Tea, coffee, hot cocoa. Whatever. In fact, let’s solve this Strands so I can go make myself a steaming cuppa!

How To Play Strands

Strands is the newest game in the New York Times’ stable of puzzle games. It’s a fun twist on classic word search games. Every day we’re given a new theme and then tasked with uncovering all the words on the grid that fit that theme, including a spangram that spans two sides of the board. One of these words is the spangram which crosses from one side of the grid to another and reveals even more about the day’s theme.

Today’s Theme: Changing course.

Hint: Words like SWAP that indicate something suddenly moving in another direction or someone changing their opinion or judgement.

These were actually quite tricky to find and I was a bit worried when I had found everything except the spangram and that long two-letter column remained. Fortunately, once I found THE it all came together pretty quickly into THE OLD SWITCHEROO.
