The World Cup may be over, but some of the music released in connection with the soccer tournament – one smash in particular – continues to perform well. Shakira’s “Dai Dai,” her collaboration with Burna Boy that served as the event’s anthem this time around, remains one of the biggest hits in the world.
The track is especially popular in the United Kingdom. This frame, “Dai Dai” appears on four rankings and lives inside the top two on every one of them. The collaboration establishes new peaks across the quartet of rosters and even gives both superstars their first leader on one list.
Shakira and Burna Boy Reach No. 1 on the Streaming List
“Dai Dai” flies from No. 5 to No. 1 on the Official Streaming chart in its sixth week on the ranking. The roster focuses solely on how many times songs are streamed across the U.K. The growth gives Shakira her first champion on the streaming-only tally. Before “Dai Dai,” she had reached the top 40 with only two tracks.
“La La La,” her collaboration with Carlinhos Brown, became her first top 40 placement when it peaked at No. 31 more than a decade ago. Nearly 10 years later, Shakira returned to the region alongside Bizarrap, as “Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53” soared to No. 26.
Shakira had also sent “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)” with Freshlyground and “Can’t Remember to Forget You,” her team-up with Rihanna, to the Official Streaming chart. Those two tracks peaked at Nos. 66 and 94, respectively.
Burna Boy Scores His First Streaming Leader
Burna Boy also collects his first No. 1 on the Official Streaming chart, though he had already broken into the top 10 several times before “Dai Dai.”
“Own It,” his collaboration with Stormzy and Ed Sheeran, previously stood as his loftiest placement on the streaming tally. The track missed out on ruling by only one space when it peaked at No. 2 more than half a decade ago.
His solo smash “Last Last” reached No. 4, while “Location,” his collaboration with Dave and his first hit on the Official Streaming chart, climbed to No. 10.
Shakira and Burna Boy Soar to No. 2 on a Trio of Charts
“Dai Dai” also rises to new peaks on the other three U.K. rankings on which it currently appears. The track settles at No. 2 on the Official Singles, Official Singles Sales and Official Singles Downloads charts.

On the Official Singles chart, which measures the most-consumed songs in the U.K. by blending streaming and purchasing activity, “Dai Dai” advances from No. 5. The collaboration simultaneously improves from No. 4 on both of the sales-focused lists.
Shakira has already ruled the Official Singles Sales and Official Singles Downloads tallies in the past. Burna Boy has yet to reach No. 1 on either purchase-focused roster, so “Dai Dai” could bring him two more career firsts should it advance by only one space.
Shakira’s Previous World Cup Anthem Climbs
“Waka Waka (This Time for Africa),” which served as a World Cup anthem years ago at a previous tournament, appears on the same four rankings as “Dai Dai” this week. The Shakira and Freshlyground collaboration reaches new peaks on both sales lists in the U.K. “Waka Waka” surges from No. 39 to No. 21 on the Official Singles Sales chart, while it pushes from No. 36 to No. 20 on the Official Singles Downloads ranking, reaching the top 20 on the latter roster for the first time.
Shakira Holds Inside the Top 30
“Waka Waka” is steady at No. 26 on the Official Singles chart. That placement leaves the former World Cup smash only five spaces beneath its No. 21 peak. The tune only slips slightly on the Official Streaming tally, falling from No. 45 to No. 48.
