This Hong Kong Bar Was Just Named The World’s Best For The Second Year

Hong Kong is home to the best bar in the world for the second consecutive year, according to the World’s 50 Best bars list.

Announced on Wednesday, October 7th at an international awards ceremony in Milan, Bar Leone was named the top bar across the globe. Open since 2023, Bar Leone was named the world’s best bar in Asia by 2024 and retained the title in 2024, also ranking as the second best bar in the world. By 2025, Bar Leone was crowned thr World’s Bar Bar and now retains the title.

Co-founded by Italian bartender Lorenzo Antinori in Hong Kong’s central district, Bar Leone is inspired by traditional venues in Rome’s Trastevere neighborhood. The bar maintains a philosophy of cocktail popolari or “cocktails for the people,” that is, well-assembled drinks that don’t chase trends and an ambiance that focuses on hospitality and regular visitors.

The World’s Best Bars 2026 list features bars from 26 cities with 14 new entries across Athens, Bangkok, Buenos Aires, Hong Kong, London, Madrid, Medellín, Mexico City, New York, Paris, and São Paulo.
