Trump Tells CNN ‘You Shouldn’t Be Covering Me’ Ahead Of UN Speech

Trump said, “I’m surprised that CNN is here covering me. You should not be here covering me. You said you weren’t going to cover me” as he greeted reporters at the UN headquarters in New York Tuesday.

“The United Nations allowed us in, sir,” CNN reporter Kaitlan Collins replied before proceeding to ask Trump when the war with Iran would end.

The confrontation comes after CNN, MS NOW and Politico sued Trump on Monday, alleging he banned them without warning or justification from the White House.

The four other major networks that, along with CNN, make up what’s known as the White House TV pool, which rotates daily coverage of the president and distributes its feed to other outlets, declined to replace CNN as the designated pool network on Monday.
